Anybody headed North on I95?

I had a bonus day today I was driving southbound on I-95 between exit 81 in NC and exit 90 in SC. Saw a total of 3 Airstreams north bound. One was a early to mid 80's short Excella (<28') WBCCI 2080, the second was a 69-73 Overlander size and the third was a 34'. Did not get a good look at it. Anybody from around here? I usually only see one or two Airstreams a month on that drive.

Aaron

A little off topic...but a friend of mine once asked me if we ever traveled alone to go camping. When I asked him what he meant by that, he indicated he noticed that he rarely sees an Airstream traveling by itself on the highways. Airstreams seem to travel in groups.

You're probably seeing the tail end of the annual mass exodus from Florida. My customers have been leaving in droves since the end of March! The local RV parks are down to about 30% occupancy!

It sure is getting quiet around here.....almost no snowbirds left .

We have seen very few on the road this month. At least not until we arrived in Mystic Springs. Less than a dozen folks here now, but all nice new friends.

We're heading west tomorrow to Miss, Bay St Louis, then up to Natchez. If you're on the road, flash your lights.

Flashing of lights is a good idea. We wave but sometimes don't know if we are seen or not.

Whenever I see another Airstream on the road, I get so excited. I yell to my husband to quick...look...an Airstream...heading the other way! Quick, wave...as I wave...did they see us? Did they wave back?! Did you get the numbers? What were they, as I scramble to pull out my national directory from the glove box.

It's true!

Don't be fooled by the weather in Florida. I didn't want to winterize when we got back on April 1st and I have had the heat on ever since! It should be nice around here this coming weekend but it took a long time coming.

We're at the Hollywood Casino in Bay St Louis now. Weather is perfect.

Didn't see another A/S on the trip from Mystic Springs.

Isn't this the time of year that the locals start taking over the campgrounds???
