Wally Byam Holiday: Who knows about them?
I have a Wally Byam Holiday that someone gave to me. Its serial number is 0-40707 and then has a 71 slightly elevated above it. The trailer is about 15 feet and had a marine toilet, stove, 2 bunks and a dinette. It is in bad but restorable condition. Could this be the forth surviving one? Is it worth keeping?

Yes, I've seen a picture of one and there's a picture of an ad for one in a book that I have. Definitely a collectible and should be great to restore. If you show up at a rally with it it would be fun to win the argument that it is an Airstream cousin.
Neil.

BUT! Does it qualify for membership in WBCCI? After all, it is an Airstream product.

You were given one? To me that would be like winning the lottery! Congratulations, and whatever you do hang on to it and make it road worthy again.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one that interpreted the rules that way.
Afterall, it has "Wally Byam" in the name...if that don't make it qualify, nothing will!

The Holiday IS worth restoring
The Holiday is quite a gift. I am SURE if you aren't interested in restoring
...MANY more would be.
There were said to be 5 Holidays still "living". VERY RARE indeed.
They are adorable.

Hi Sobephil,
Do you still have your Wally Byam's Holiday? Somewhere I got a photo of the serial number plate showing the unusual serial number, but nothing else. I would love to see more photo of the trailer to try to determine what the unusual serial number means. I am currently in the process of creating a Wally Byam's Holiday registry of still existing trailers with some attempt to document design changes over time and would love to add yours to it. If you have sold it, is there a way to put me into contact with the new owner. Thanks in advance!
