Yeah, that'd look pretty cool behind a moho.

2) It would be perfect for hauling my little racecar in, once the back door is expanded and the frame/floor is beefed up.
Having no side windows is helpful for both uses.
See - it IS useful to *some* people...

I have not checked so must ask, is it yours? Has the auction finished? You are right, it would make a dynamite race car trailer, particularly towed behind the MoHo.
Keep us posted.

Thanks GP.
I would guess that to buy any enclosed trailer today that came with tandem axles for under $1,200 would be a good deal. As long as it was properly constructed that is.

OMG, he cut up a 13 panel Airstream - it sure looks like the back end of my '51 FC
We need to have a moment of silence for that poor trailer he cut up for this.
I say He as no woman would ever build something this, um, IMHO, tasteless (there, was I politically correct enough?)

I think it is pretty cool looking. Rember, a lot of these abominations, errr, I mean "creations" were made back in the 1960's and early 1970's when old Airstreams were not valued, they were just out-of-date old trailers.

I know what you mean, it just seems so wrong by today's standards. In the late 60's I had a '66 Corvair with a 180hp turbo engine and a fellow bought it and used the power train in a low MoHo he was building using plans out of some magazine like Popular Science or one of those. When I found out I was shocked as he was going on about how he loved Corvairs when he talked me out of it. As with this rig he put a lot of effort and creativity into it, but it just wasn't the prettiest thing by any means. When we go back to the old hometown I still see it sitting beside the shop where he was building it. He passed on and it hasn't moved since. Sadly, he scrapped the 'vair and the engine in the MoHo has disappeared.
Someone will look at the picture of this one on eBay and say My God, I've always wanted one just like that and snap it up though. Not everyone can handle owning an Airstream.

It's nice to see someone having fun with the looks of their MoHo. There was an unadorned one similar to this at the TCT in Deming,WA two years ago. I understand that these factory type ones are now worth some money to collectors. I did my fiberglass phase when I had the Boler (one of our SOB's while looking for our Airstream) and found the trailers at least to be as heavy or heavier than the tin and wood SOB's. Also learned they can and do leak, and they crack.
I wonder if Ralph Nader ever knew there were dangerous at any speed MoHo's on the highways.
