What a fitting name. Subzero gets my can feel his pain. That photo just made me shudder. I'll never complain about 30 degrees again. Great posts everyone.

January Winner!

Wow! Great posts, great shots and excellent aspirations! Richard (tevake) said he "wouldn't want to pick one winner." I legitamately know what he means. The submittals have been excellent. I used to often tell young engineers that, "making decisions is easy, but sometimes, living with the consequences of those decisions can be hard. Trust your instincts and your process and make the best decision you can, and you'll handle the consequences." My turn.

I was particularly inspired by Atomic 13, Dieselspeeps, Cochita and riowerks sentiment expressed on their projects and progress. Hittenstiel captures that aspiration that many of us share very well in his photo and desire to keep progressing. I sometimes think our aspiration isn't that we "finish" because I'm not sure we ever do. Instead it's to have just a bit more to accomplish. And then, a bit more after that.

SeeMore's post #24 added to my aspirations to get to Topsail Hill. The same for Shadrick 5 with the lake, Sawtooth and an Airstream and Subzero AK with an incredible sunrise over a snowy Alaskan Airstream.

I have to mention Fly at Night's wise advice and personal aspiration to "pluck more low-lying fruit." I can readily conclude from her series of photos, she knows what to do with the fruit once plucked! I'm thinking we're way past lemonade from lemons. Why do I know "Three Olives?"

Centenialman started us off in post #2 with the aspiration of "even more road trips." This was reinforced in Tin Tin's inspirational Arizona photo in post #7. Which brings us to Breezinalong's post #17. From an amazing Eastern Sierra evening shot, a New Mexico sunset, Mount Rushmore, and some roadside whimsy that begs the question, "What happened to her martini glass?"

Now the decision... Jerry and Suzanne's (Tin Tin) post #18 just kept yelling out to me. A big hug for a new Airstream, the new red numbers and a beautiful example of "to just get out and enjoy." The aspiration spoke to me and the hug won it! Congratulations and best wishes as you select February's theme and commence the contest again.

Note that I deliberately did not repost the photos for several important reasons. First, this may inspire some to go back and review the submissions. Second, I think reposting uses my memory allowance. And, most importantly, I don't have a clue how to do that. Please take a moment and look over the great submittals this month and continue to dream and aspire with your Airstream.

Thank you to everyone that participated and followed along this month. I stand ready for any consequences...

Happy Groundhog Day (in advance)

Congratulations! What is the theme going to be for the February photo contest?

February 2017 photo contest

Thank you all for the photo entries in the January 2017 contest. I feel privileged to be part of this awesome group and look forward to many good times with everyone. 64 Airstream (Roy) thank you for the vote of number one. There were so many great photos it had to be very difficult. Now to tell you all about the February 2017 photo contest. I love my new Airstream, As we know this is the month of love with Valentine Day. I was thinking how fitting it would be to send in pictures of the love shown for your Airstream. weather its polishing it, restoring it, camping in a special place. Something that shows the love you have for your airstream.

Tin Tin, just a reminder that you have to start a new thread in this sub-forum for the February contest.

May I suggest that you make the guidelines clear, as many submissions through the months have wandered quite far from using original photos IMO. Post #1 in the Sticky Topic at the top of the sub-forum linked above has the guidelines quoted recently here.
