January '07 Photo Contest

Happy New Year!

We all wish everyone a Happy New Year with good
cheer and health you you and yours.
This months theme for the photo contest will be a little different;
The subject is "New Begining"
Your photo needs to include your Airstream in one manner or another and
be connected with a new begining.
It could be a new Airstream for you, it could be a new interior, a new relationship, a new toaster. Use your imaginations and have fun!

This months winner will recieve an Airstream Life Cap courtesy of Roger and Rich our good friends along with the now famous $5.00 bill.
As other little goodies become available I will post them immediatly.

Airstream Life Magazine, The Official Airstream Quarterly Lifestyle Magazine
The winner will have his/her choice of colors solid khaki, khaki/blue or khaki/green.
I look forward to seeing all you great photos in the month to come! Rick

Well, I'm not quite dug out yet, but I can get to all the vehicles and Airstreams. I had to dig the path to the Overlander today so I could start moving things from there into the Sovereign for the upcoming trip to Mojave. ...Love it here, really.

"New Beginning"

Here's ours...

First vintage Airstream we stepped foot in, we had to have it!
First time towing anything
First morning home after the first snow of the year
First photo of "our" trailer...
First realization of "what did we get ourselves into?"

First glimpse

Wow, did we ever have a lot of new beginnings in 2006! We bought our first Airstream, towed a trailer for the first time ever, camped in a trailer for the fist time, and attended our first Airstream Rally.

Here's a picture of the first glimpse of our new silver dream trailer - last June in Colorado.

Here are two photos of our new beginning with our first AS that we purchased last July. We purchased it at Toscano RV in Los Banos, CA and took delivery during the heat wave we had. It was 116 degrees that day. Anyway, the first shot is me goofing around during the inspection. The second shot is the first day in our driveway.

Take Your Airstream to Work Day

On the first day of 2007 the AS got to see where we work, for the first time! We were headed down Pacific Coast Highway and needed air in an inside dual. Luckily there was a LA County Fire Station on the way. I couldn't pass the chance to take this picture.

First attempt at polishing

Here's a couple of pictures from our first polishing attempt over the 2006 Summer. It was stop and go until we got the hang of it. Still have a long ways to go, but it's starting to look like someone loves her!
