Removing duct tape, help!

Anybody have a clue how to get the spoils off before the coach goes in for repair? Thanks, M

I would think mineral spirits or goof off will soften it for easy removal. That's the exterior isn't it?

Sometimes using fresh duct tape to pull off as much of the old adhesive first works well. Stick it on, rub on firmly, then peel off slowly that may get more of it off, then use solvent as needed. I try to avoid using a lot of solvent because it is messy to get completely clean when the glue dissolves.

Have you tried WD 40? It usually works for me. It won't hurt the paint, either.

All good suggestions.

Where is the coach going into for repair and did you have any luck getting the rear banana wrap replaced?

Good luck
Tony

We think she'll go to Phoenix, but have no clue at this point. Parts are iffy.

Duct tape

if you are going to have the area repaired why worry about the tape residue? the shop will have to re-apply clear coat anyway.

I use plastic razor blades and then goof-off (available at Lowe's & Home Depot). It will take the clear coat off.
