Wall tiles for kitchen

I finished tiling the kitchen walls. Got to say, it looks good I have no idea how long they will stay up, but had to try it. I used an all purpose adhesive, caulk on the back of every tile along with the 2 sided tape they say to use. Just got tired of seeing the wallpaper crinkling up in areas.

Looks great - just saw these adhesive tiles at Home Depot this weekend - what adhesive did you use? What did you use to cut to fit?

I saw those too. Was gonna use them when I thought I was only facing a facelift, not the 3/4 Monty I'm currently in. I really like the look though!

I like the tile, because my dad was a tileman. Also, what kind of coffe maker is that? It looks kind of small.

Very nice! I have wondered about using these when we get to that point (if they still make them 10 years from now.... sigh). I'll be interested to see how yours hold up to travel. I would think that with what you used to keep them up, that they would do quite well!

The tiles are brushed aluminum from Handy Wall Tiles. I got them at Amazon, but right now they are out of them. You can also order them direct at :
https://www.handywalltiles.com/ORDER_FORM.html

I have not found these anywhere else, including Home Depot. A box of 24 covers 3 sq. ft. The adhesive, caulk is a polyseamseal that stays flexible. Tiles are very easy to use, can cut it with some scissors, but a metal cutter, tin snips, work better. Hopefully they are secure ? Time will tell.

Thanks everyone,

Thanks everyone,
Home Depot has them in the Kitchen Design Center, a little 3'x3'x6' rack. They offer brushed/non brushed aluminum, copper and bronze colors. They also have the matching trim pieces, the adhesive and some plastic copper ceiling tile look alikes on the same rack. Their display shows a mix match of brushed and smooth in a 45 degree herringbone pattern. I likey!!!

We have a similar looking tile in our MH. These tiles were pressed aluminum that we cut with scissors. They are attached with double faced tape. They've been up for 2 years now without any problems.

Beautiful! HomeDepot here I come - I'm going to paint away the harvest gold counter top & put up some of those slick tiles. Love the creativity on this site!

tiles on shower wall?

I need something to go over the wood in my shower wall. Does anyone know if these beautiful aluminum tiles would work in there?
I LOVE the look in the kitchen.

The tiles I used do not lay flush on the back side. There is room to put 2 sided tape. With this in mind, I would be hesitant on using it in the shower. If your shower is like ours, there is little room to move around and bumbing into the walls happens on a regular basis. These tiles will dent in without to much of a hit. Now some of the others that are used here, I would think, you would have no problem with.
