Interior Wall Structure Strip

I have one Interior Wall that previously had a structure strip screwed into the aluminum interior skin.....

The wall and strip are gone....

I am looking to rebuild this wall(which is part of a cabinet)...the other wall is 1/2" plywood tied tto the bathroom shower stall(cabinet between bathroom and bedroon area)....

Biggest Factor here: Replacement of the Structure strip(mounts to wall and portion of ceiling) and has mouting poiint for the intior wall...

Suggestions on a replacement? Only thing I have foune locally is a somwhat flexible shelving strip...but it has less than 1/8" sides to locate the interior wall....

This is for My '77 Silver Streak "Refurbish"....I know--not an AS but someday...

Any Ideas or Sources are Greatly Appreciated!!

Thanks!!

If I understand correctly you might be able to use a French Cleat. Do you have a picture or a drawing?

Originally, it was a 'gold' aluminum strip screwed into the side wall and up through the curved roof area. It had a 90degree that lipped over the wall section with a few mounting point to the wall.

Then with the floor strips and cabinet support pieces in place--a sturdy wall.

I am looking to replace this wall section (so I have the cabinet(shelf) space there)...

The dilemna is the curved section of the interior wall...most of the items I have found do not bend(to conform) to the curve.

I suppose I could just utilize some 90 degree aluminum for the straight section of wall in conjuction with a couple of interior fasteners for the curved section.

Ideally I would like to replace with an original type 'support brace'....hmmmm

To answer your idea...a french cleat isn't really the solution I am looking for in this application...

Thanks for Your Suggestion Though!!

I will think on this some more.....

Rivet Attached link for a visual

Look at post #11 , Picture#4

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f417...ish-77204.html

This is where the structural strip and wall needs to go back in.

I have a tentative solution posted there also.

Cheers,
Christopher
