Does anyone know of another supplier that would have the patterns? We like the taupe for the seat cusions and backs, and black for the "wedge" fillers.

Perhaps pm TinLoaf, who made his own patterns and sewed his own covers. Did a great job, I might add.

He has a thread on this somewhere, as well.

Steamy, every town seems to have one or more seamstresses (what do you call a male seamstress?). Being in a small town, you can check reputation. We are having our cloth covers replaced with vinyl. I think "ultraleather" is nothing more than vinyl, but a good quality vinyl. We found good quality vinyl at a going out of business sale.

Male seamstress would be a tailor I'd guess!

Real ultraleather is 100% polyurethane not vinyl. Even high grade vinyls don't breathe, off gas and are environmentally unfriendly. They also don't sew nearly as well but vinyl is certainly less expensive.

My advice, if you are going to pay someone to do this, pick the best quality fabric and foam you can afford. The labors going to be expensive anyway and your result will be much better. Be prepared to gulp when you get the quote.

If you buy from a good independent fabric store they will have a list of good seamstresses that they recommend and trust.

Thanks, everyone, for the ideas. I will chase down the suggestions. May try an auto upholstery shop.

We looked at the Ultraleather in a new Serenity and it is pretty nice material.

Investigate using two layers of foam with different densities. I found this method works well. Also,if you utilize the cheap foams you won't be happy ,regardless of covering
