Getting Rid of The Ghosts !?!?!?????

Have stripped the vinyl off of the interior walls of my Overlander. Getting the vinyl off has been easy compared with getting the ghost impression of the vinyl off of the aluminum. I have been using G6 Nuvite and a have a good compounding machine (right angle type) but it is taking lots of Nuvite to get results. Is this typical ? Is there something I should do prior to the Nuvite ?? You can barely feel the ghost impression on the aluminum but it takes ALOT of G6 to get it off. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Mike
