Replacing 73 Argosy Bathroom

Call me Crazy, but I have this idea.

I purchased a used Agrosy last summer. As usual, after having it a while, I have found a few things that need to be repaired. Mainly the bathroom floor in the rear of the trailer. The deising of the bumper on those models did a great job of channeling water into the back of the trailer. At this point, I plan to replace the entire bathroom floor.

I uesed the trailer a few times last summer and fall. I have taken it out this spring once. What I have noticed is, one, I never use the bathroom, and two, I don't like the sleeping setup. The front table folds into a bed, and I have two twins.

So, here is my crazy idea. Once I have the bathroom floor repaired, instead of putting the bathroom back in, since I doubt I will ever use it, build bunk beds in the bathroom area. I know that I will have to move a couple things, but it should not be an issue.

What do you think? Any structural issues with putting beds where the bathroom was?

I don't think it would be a structural issue, but it might throw the balance of the trailer off. You may wind up having to pack more stuff forward to get the desired tongue weight.

Aside from that... You might not care about the bathroom NOW, but wait until your camping in the pouring rain and you need to go to the bathroom a 3AM - you'll wish you'd left it in...

I could not imagine not having a bath room in the trailer, I use it several times a day. If you only camp in RV parks, I guess it could work, but I would never do it. If you ever plan to sell it will be hard to find a buyer.

I understand that there is a potential with finding a future buyer should I chose to sell it. I have figured out, that I can leave most of the plumbing in the rear, and even cut the holes in the floor. My design will be such that it can be removed from the trailer, with just a few screws.

I have been camping since a kid, tents, travel trailers, Pop-up's, and never once, even when I had them, used the bathroom in the trailer. To much bother to clean and maintain.

I guess I am more concerned with my own wants and needs at this point, than a future buyer, but after I get the floor replaced, I might change my mind by then and put the bathroom back in.

I am not sure at this point, that is why I am asking for peoples thoughts.
