Otherwise: the photos below show some before and after pics of our kitchen reno. We started last Tuesday and except for some minor finishing touches, we are ready to roll.
As far as materials go, we picked up a counter remnant from Ikea for $72.00, the sink is also from Ikea, $34.00 and the faucet was from Rona Hardware store $68.00. I also built a brace out of some scrap wood to support the center cabinet as it tended to sag after a few years. We had to router out a portion of the couter near the wall to fit it on the alum brace. I also had to router underneath the counter where the faucet goes to get it fastened in place. My wife painted the existing stove with a silver paint to give it a slightly more modern look. All in all, we are very happy with it. It's one more small job completed and once I find a small round sink for the bathroom we can move forward with that reno.
