'73 Overlander Mid-Full Bed Hardware
Our recently-acquired '73 Overlander has the mid-full bed rather than the twins. This bed frame is a slideout -- in fact it looks like a poor man's gaucho. The sliding frames have plastic caps on their inner ends that ride in the bed's support tubes and align the outer frames, and those caps are all broken, so the bed won't stay supported. Anyone have a source for those caps or, better yet, something more robust? I am going to build a support frame for the outer edge of the bed -- and possibly the gaucho as well -- using some Baltic birch plywood offcuts I have in my shop, as the factory's system doesn't seem too sturdy to me.
Thanks in advance!
