Wanted to share the results of wanting to have a bigger bed in our 73 Safari. Hubby did a wonderful job without affecting the integrity of the trailer. He cut 4 cross pieces from 1x6's at approx. long enough to extend from one twin to the other, these fit in the gap made by the storage area under the bed and then 2 1x4's that lay across those from front to rear directon, and finally a piece if 1/4 in plywood that fits between the edges of each bed. We switched the cushions from our 69 tradewind to the 73 and now have a king size bed with our heads and feet in the direction of street to curb side. Cushions could be made though- when up it looks like 2 couches. Now the only inconvience is the potty, but I sllep on that side so I just roll out and stand up in the bathroom, hubby has to crawl over

.Anyway it is well worth any minor inconvience to have a large comfy bed. king sheets (jersey knit fit perfect. Tip: pull up cushion, put sheet on, push down then do other side-Tamara
