OT - LED issue in Camper

I have a fairly new small custom truck camper and after several months, I finally plugged it in to use the converter. I'd just been using solar up until now.

With the converter on, I noticed a flickering in both LED lights, each light flickered just on one side/bulb. When I pulled the plastic covers off, there was a light whitish smoke coming off the affected bulbs. Up until now, there had never been an issue. No flicker at all, but that was without the converter. Battery voltage was in the mid 12VDC range on solar, and mid 14VDC with the IOTA converter running.

I talked to the builder, and both of us suspect a bad set of LEDs, and they are sending replacements of a different style.

Anyone run into a similar issue with your trailer/camper/motorhome?
