We (Rick & Judy) just bought a new 27FB Classic model..we've been planning this for 5 years and are really excited to finally taking the plunge.
The dealer suggesting we put a product called PermaPlate on our coach before we take it out. I'm wondering if a coating of this type is a good thing to do on a new coach or if it is not really going to help protect the finish. If it is a good thing to do is this a good product or is there another that you might recommend?
Any good sealant/wax is helpful. The better products last longer and require redoing less often. I use Liquid Glass it last a long time and help seal your clear coat.
We work in a boatyard, but have found most products work for RV too. Woody Wax is expensive, but wonderful, and Alumagaurd supposedly works great. Starbrite w/ Teflon and 3MScotchgard have great UV protection. We haven't tried anything on a new finish though, and would hate to mess up that beautiful shine!
