Thumbs up New and New

Hi. I am Mary. I have a husband and a four year old son. We currently live in Kansas City, Mo. And are currently looking for our first Airstream. We are planning to fulltime and home school our son. I've been forum stalking for a few days now and thought I would register and make myself known.

Hi,
Mary

Welcome Mary,

Congratulations on the move from Lurker to Member, and on making your first post.

Good luck in your search,

Kevin

Hi Mary,
Welcome to the Forums and I, like you, read a lot first and then took the plunge before I actually purchased an Airstream. Shortly after I joined, my previous unit got totalled and I ended up in Chattanooga, Tn. one Saturday morning after an all night drive and when I drove away, there was an Airstream following me. I've not regretted it for a minute. I have replaced the water tank, installed a new furnace, replaced the door hinges, have a new water heater to install, and next fall I will replace the axels. Sounds like a lot of work but I have a unit that is 31 years old and hadn't been maintained. The pup and I have a goal to be at the lake every weekend this year, and I know that isn't realistic, but 2 years ago, we only missed 4 weekends. Good luck with your search, and if you are 1/2 as happy with your unit as I am, you will absolutely love it.
