My wife and I haven’t purchased our Airstream yet, but Lord willing will do so early Summer 2019. We are US Army retirees and currently work for General Motors.

Going to sell our home in June and then make the purchase of a Sport Bambi 16. We’ve looked at one and it fits our needs nicely.

I am planning on reading the relevant forum posts to prepare ourselves as best we can. We are not fond of tent camping as we had 5 kids and it was a lot more work than “fun.” So, we’re optimistic RV camping will be a lot better. From what I have read and seen thus far, RVing also requires preparation and work, but it does seem a lot more convenient.

Any advice or help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Jack and Cindy

Jack and Cindy (9tda1dr), welcome to the forum!

Thank you both for your military service. Lots of good information here. Smart decision to start learning before your purchase.

From a pair of fellow southerns, thank you for your service and welcome to the forum. I joined about two years before we purchased our Airstream. It was and continues to be very beneficial to be members here.

Looking forward to hearing more about your journey. Keep us updated!
