Just bought my first Airstream

I just bought my first Airstream, although I have wanted one for years. It's a 1968 Safari and needs some restoration, although mostly just a really good cleaning. It needs some of the windows replaced because of Hurricane Katrina, and I have no idea where to get them. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi, and welcome to the forums!
Your coach has the infamous "unobtainium" Corning windows that were only offered for about 3 years on Airstreams. Vintage RV Supply has reproduced them, and Inladn RV has Lexan replacements.

Welcome to the forum. What a great way to start the summer, with a new Airstream. Hopefully Katrina did not do any cleaning after she broke the windows. You will find help with the cleaning under the search feature. Follow the link below for your windows.

I have a window that came out of a 1968 Safari. It's the front window. If you need it send me a private message.

Welcome to the forums!

skyking -- Avoid eBay -- the refuge of lost causes. There is Airstream Forums' Classifieds section at the top of this page. There is the Vintage Airstream Club. And there is Airstream's website classifieds. It does take patience. Spend that time Forum browsing on appropriate tow vehicles...

There's the list (post 11) of people that will look at an Airstream if it's far away -- but please be prepared to offer expense money to them.
