Smile hello from the pacific northwest

(somehow half of my post disappeared...)

We brought Mabel home two days ago from a local dealer that we really liked. She is a 1972 23' Land Yacht Safari in great condition. As we are nearly the same age, we will be growing old together... She really is such a gem!

I am the mom of four boys, with a fabulous husband, and while I adore all of my "men", Mabel will be getting a wonderful little "boys by appointment only" sign as she is something I have wanted for such a long time. I can't wait to decorate her with some fabulous vintage gear - preferably in PINK!

I have loaded a couple of shots that the dealer took - she has a lovely exterior and her interior is in good shape and very clean. I am a photographer and can't wait until spring arrives and I can get some great sunny day shots of her on our property! While I anticipate that we will indeed take her out for some fun family trips, she will also be getting a fabulous pad that I plan to landscape and have ready to enjoy while she is home.

Welcome and nice looking AS! I'm sure she will give you many good years camping with the "boys". You will find a lot of good information on the forum. Enjoy...

They should be in my photos - wherever that might be... It is funny because when I find someone say, in my area, I can't seem to find their photos either. Anyone with suggestions?
Thanks!

Mabel is a beauty! Are you planning to travel with her, or is she to be your "retreat"?

Your pictures are under Gallery, Members Photos, and then find your name in the long list! Also, if you look under your Profile (in the left column of your post), you'll see a line titled Images. Yours shows "5". Just click on that and you can view the dealer photos that you uploaded. Another way is to click on your name and look at the options, one being View Gallery Uploads, and click on that. Hope that helps!

It looks great. I wish you many quiet and creative hours and some fun family trips too. With all those men I can see why you are craving pink... Can't wait to see the "home" you make for her too. Congrats and welcome.

Welcome to the forums, and Airstream ownership! You'll find lots of opportunities to get together with other old trailer fanatics in the NW. We love to get out and camp!

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

Congratulations on your new baby. We also have four boys; albeit, the youngest is now 31. Number Three even has his own Airstream.

Take those guys on many Airstream adventures. They will remember and cherish those times for their whole lives.

Ditto Stephanie, a lot of vintage fanatics here in the NW. Enjoy your retreat, Buy the boys a big tent to camp in when you go camping, They will love it and so will you.

Hi! You go girl! :-) I'm hoping to be carrying out my own AS dream soon, too. I know you'll have fun dressing her all up ... even if it is in PINK :-)
