Soverign id question

So although there is no visable ID plate the registration papers of this Soverign have the VIN # as 131T9J134. The number on the outside of the unit is 12476 but I am unclear on what this # means other than the obvious linear age?
Can anyone enlighten me as to where to look for more evidence of ID or what the above info might designate?

The 12476 was the unit's # in the WBCCI

If the riveted ID plate is missing (usually near the door, but could be on front or roadside front body locations) the registration VIN is also stamped into the steel rectangular tubing making up the A-frame up front. This has been noticed before. There may be a post undercount by one. Not sure why -- and won't hold my breath waiting for a volunteer to track it down with hours and hours of personal time.

Welcome to another Sovereign owner. You listed "1" as the first number. Like Abe said, it should really be an "I".

Our registration had a 1 on it when we got it. To correct the registration to the right letter/number, our Highway Patrol will have to inspect the trailer and verify the correct number. Unfortunately, the number is already very difficult to see and we can't have it inspected until it is road worthy. I figure that I will also printout the "official" way the registration numbers are supposed to be interpreted.
