For UK you will pay 10% import duty on the total costs of the RV plus shipping charges, then 20% VAT Taxes on that total. If it is a trailer then in some cases VAT taxes are lower, depending on width. Motor homes all have the full rate.
Any queries or other help please do not hesitate to contact me. We have facilities for lighting conversions here etc., and can collect from Southampton if needed.

Gruezi Uppla! Good luck getting your airstream to Switzerland. My family was from Canton Glarus and love the alps, and would love to see Airstreams there!

did you make any experience buying an airstream and ship to Switzerland?
Hi Uppla,
I was wondering if you made any experience getting an airstream over here. I am currently looking to get on myself. I am based in Basel.
Thanks,
Dirk

Hi Dirk
well yes after quite a process I have a vintage Airstream here in CH and on the road...so it is possible....However be ready for a load of fun and games with the registration dept and the customs...
You will have to rebuild the Trailers Brakes to comply with European Standards and possibly refit the Chassis!!!!
So yes expensive fun!!!
Good luck..life's a journey

Currently only the 16x is sold in Europe.
I'm not sure if that is because the 20x cannot be homologated, but if that is the case you can expect to have to make extensive modifications to get it registered.
May be worth contacting Armin Heun who runs Airstream Germany.
