Pardon my stupidity but what site numbers would be included in spots B+C? On the campground map that Im looking at its not real clear. We are still interested in trying to make it out. Thanks for your efforts Vycan! Shall we wait to make reservations untill more folks respond?

Mayco,

The group spots require a group reservation, cannot reserve individual spots.

Would everyone prefer reserving a different area with individual reservation capability?

(Looking for feedback from members who RSVP "yes" at the Convening Classics on the rally calendar.)

Well gents availability tanked on the individual sites from Thursday until today, and with the relatively few people who confirmed I went ahead and reserved Group area "A" Those are sites 49, 51, 56, 57. These were also the combos with the greatest accommodation for vehicle lengths. Each site has a picnic table, and there is a shared picnic area with a grill to the east of our sites as indicated by the dashed lines on the map. Preview of sites.

Total for the sites was $298 for three nights, with check in at noon on 24APR15, and checkout at noon on 27APR15. There is a vehicle fee of $7/day for each vehicle. If you have a toad, they apply a free pass to the toad, and the $7/day to the motorhome. For cost, it will be $75 per site (due to me at arrival) plus the $7/day (paid directly to the park office) for a total of $96 for the accommodations.

Currently expecting tevake and Mayco, with Dakota as a maybe.
We will be at site 51.

Sounds good, those look like nice sites too. Well, we are gonna do our best to be there. Let me know how you would like to do the money thing. It will be our first long trip, better line up some mechanics on the way .......hope not. AND OUR DOG GONE COUCH better be back from the upholsterer or it will be plywood and pillows for seating!

WOW Vycan, things do move fast in your world. I came across your post this morning, and find us committed by lunch time.
Just as well for me. I have challenges making plans much past next week.
And yours have come together so nicely. Good job there, thanks.

So, yes I'm in. And your itenary sounds fine. This will be my first planned gathering of this sort, and I'm really stoked to meet other streamers.
Glad to hear that the vintage trailer group will be coming also, should be an interesting, hands on crew.
Can hardly believe there may be not one but two classic pushers there.
(I keep thinking about that fixer in southern Az)

And Dave (Wxbuoy). come on out west to join us, looking forward to when we get to meet in person! Plus y'all seem due for some reward for all the efforts put into your coach. You have two months to bear down on any issues needed to be done before then. I have a functional galley we could share if yours is still in the works. Hope you can make it.

This will be a blast, thanks again Vycan.

Cheers Richard

Those are nice sites Vycan. I think site # 57 would be my choice.

Looks like it will be a cool representation of the evolution of the AS motorhome. A 310, a 345, and the 36'. Need an Argosy.

The get together is a month or so too early for us; the guys are pushing to be ready for Chilly Man a week or so later, but even then it is touch and go.

Counts us in for the second iteration.

Mayco,

We have 51 a couple posts up. It's kinda buried in post 44. We have 49 and 56 open at the moment.

Alright gents,

Currently have spot 49 open, and all the other Meadow Group sites are reserve-able. First person to confirm gets it. Current plan is to have payment in cash to me at the park for $75.

Reminder, you will also owe the park $7/day for parking privileges, so you do have to check in and let them know you are there for the "Convening Classics" gathering.

We will depart for the gathering on 23APR14, spend the night somewhere with arrival at the park around noon on the 24th so there is a friendly face to greet people. There is no time requirement for arrival on the 24th, just ensure you make arrangements with the Park for your arrival time on that date, and that you are going to Meadow Group A. Awaiting details from the Vintage Airstream club and their participation.

I will call and confirm with the park on exactly how people check in for their site, and post another message.

I have also put out feelers for goodie bags and door prizes.

Oh good this will be an opportunity to wear the shirt embroidered with a classic Moho that I got from the P O. Even came with my name on it as this coach has been owned only by guys named Richard.

Cheers Richard

Dang! Would love to go, BUT, those dates are already closed.
Any AS motor homes in the Parker, AZ area????
I'm at the Bluewater RV Park in Parker.

Richard,

We would love too but are committed to a military appreciation rally at the base in Pensacola, FL (home of the Blue Angels).

We are pushing along and hopefully will have it ready to go next time you have one! "functional Kitchen" Whats that? Does that mean you have a sink or a stove or are you one of those fancy coaches that have both and they actually work!

Team,

Just received two $25 gift certificates from camping world for the rally. Any last minute additions? We still have an open spot.

Just got my April schedule. Looks like we will be able to go. At least for the beginning. I have to work Sunday but may be able to trade the trip and get another day or two. Any spaces left?
