A couple Overlaner questions.

After having my 1972 Overlaner for a few weeks and starting some minor touch ups I have 2 questions. First, what is the small switch for that is just inside the entry door. Nothing turns on and off when I toggle it. Second, where are the fuses for the 12 volt lights? I see all the 110v fuses but nothing for 12 volts. Thanks for any help.

More questions to come.

That switch is either for the scare light or the light over the sink, or the light above the door.

The 12 volt fuses are in the original Univolt.

Doug the switch inside the door is for the "over the door light" or porch light as it is more commonly known. However you should have two switches at that location. One is for the porch light and the other should be a three way switch for the "galley roof locker light".That light is the one over the kitchen sink.
The 12VDC fuse panel should be in the power converter or "Univolt" as it is known by it's brand name. If your trailer is a rear bath the Univolt will be located on the curbside rear in the bathroom(accessed through the closet). If your's is a center bath then the Univolt will be located under the range(stove) in the kitchen(galley) cabinet. Listen for it's distintive humming sound when plugged into shore power and you will be able to find it easily.
If the Univolt is working fine then keep using it but constantly watch your water level in the battery as the Univolt will keep charging the battery and boil it dry and ruin it. Most folk replace it with a modern step down converter/charger that can sense if the battery level is low or not and reduce the charging to the battery as required. Make sure you use only distilled water in the battery as regular tap water contains minerals that will attach themselves to the battery plates and ruin the battery.
