I’m still have a “glow” from the great time I had at the Birthday Bash!

Wishing you a Speedy recovery Rob!

Now on the subject of bacon and breakfast this is for you Frank. Remember when we were cooking breakfast I said if I am able to attend the NEXT BASH I will see if I can whip up some of my favorite ROCKY MOUNTAIN MOLASSES PANCAKES? Try this...

1 EGG
1 1/4 CUP BUTTERMILK OR HOME SOURED MILK
1 TBS MOLASSES
¼ CUP MELTED SHORTENING
1 CUP UNSIFTED FLOUR
1 TSP SALT
½ TSP BAKING SODA
2 TSP BAKING POWDER
½ CUP YELLOW CORNMEAL

TO THE LIGHTLY BEATEN EGG ADD IN ORDER 1 ¼ CUP BUTTERMILK OR HOME SOURED MILK, 1 TSP MOLASSES AND ¼ CUP MELTEDD SHORTENING. STIR VIGOROUSLY, THEN ADD, WITH GENTLE STIRRING 1 CUP UNSIFTED FLOUR, 1 TSP SALT, ½ TSP BAKING SODA, 2 TSP BAKING POWDER AND ½ CUP YELLLOW CORNMEAL.

I think this will beat the Batter blaster stuff. Try it out and let me know what you think maybe it will prevent other possible ailments.

maybe Rob got a hold of some "BLADDER BLASTER" by mistake at one of those great, great breakfasts...always read and follow label directions!

Robin,

Next years Bash will definitely be using an alternate pancake recipe ;-)

I have to say, the very early morning potato/onion chopping sessions with you are one of the memories of the Bash that stick in my mind. Thanks for the help and companionship.

Have a great year!

yes, yes, yes... me too on what Steve said. What many did not know that came was that Steve and Robin were both up, and ready to chop away at 35 pounds of potatoes and 10 pounds of onions each and every morning at 5:30. There dedication was astounding. While they chopped away, Deborah and I fried up 40 pounds of bacon and Rob carried urn after urn of coffee up the hill. There were many others who pitched in too. It was these folks behind the scenes, early morning, giving that made for such an excellent breakfast for all.
TO MY ENTIRE BREAKFAST STAFF... THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
Now for the next Bash, we will need a slightly larger crew to handle a slightly larger crowd. Please do not offer your services now, but if inclined, we would love your help. The reward of seeing everyone enjoy what you did is VERY gratifying.

Freeport is cool even if you don't go to LL Bean. A stones throw away is The Desert of Maine. Google it. good campground and neat neat place to visit. Cold River Vodka tour is good as is the vodka!! Have fun in New England!!

Here's a shout-out to Artstream:

We purchased one of his very classy posters at the Bash but worried how we'd make it fit in the space we had. So here it is - trimmed a little here and there, but we think it looks good.

See you on the road, Michael.

Rob - May sound silly, but I couldn't attend your 1st Bash, but I am hoping for Bash #2. But in the meantime, will there be any chance non-attendees could buy a Birthday Bash #1 Tee?

Got our T-shirts today as well. We will also be wearing them proudly at the Fall Colors. If we all wear our BB T-shirts can this be counted as a "reunion"? Pics anyone???
