Dec 5-8 2013 at Stone Mountain...we're having a rally! Come join us for the holiday fun. We already have 16 sites reserved but there is room for 9 more.

The GlampingForum.com is hosting this rally so when you call 1-800-385-9807 to make your reservations mention the forum or my name to get booked in to the right sites, at the rally rate of $41/night and our gate entry fee has been waived. We'll be in the premium purple loop with water, electric, sewage and cable.

Besides the rally events including potluck dinner, trailer decorating contest, vintage trailer bingo w/prizes, and a holiday sweater contest there are numerous holiday events going on at Stone Mountain during our rally stay...IF you have the energy for it all!

We have members of the Airforums, Glamping Forum, Vintage Trailer Talk, Tin Can Tourist and others who just love rallies attending this event which means there will be a variety of trailers to be seen and decorated.

Here's a pic of another rally where a few of the same people attended but there are many people coming that I haven't yet become friends with too.

Here's a pic of me calling out vintage trailer names for our Bingo game...a couple of the grand prizes can be seen on the table. (donated by GF and rally members)

And a couple of pics of events happening at Stone Mountain during our rally.

This is my first Christmas Rally and I'm so excited to finally be going to one! I can't wait to see all the lights.

Good deal and it is still very summer like. I bet interest picks up even more in the fall.

Did I hear correctly that now the entire Purple Premium Loop is being held open for rally reservations? Lets fill it up before they allow the huge motor coaches to reserve.

There's no time to wait until fall...as of this morning we only have 4 more sites left unless you're a motorhome that can pull into sites 151-153.

unfortunately since this took so long to get 'off the ground' we do have 4 interlopers in the loop but hey, we'll never notice them but I bet they'll notice us! Hurry before it's too late...personally I'd like to see some more than 3 of us larger (12+) trailers!

For those who have not been to Stone Mountain Park Campground, the purple loop are the deluxe RV sites, originally thought of as motor coach sites, but open to all. They have full hookups (water, sewer, electric, cable and wifi), personal deck areas and provided grills). The pads are gravel but reasonably level. For a state campground these are as good as it gets. The park itself is expansive, tranquil, and you would never know you are in the middle of Atlanta, Ga. The Orange area, right off the Purple Loop is also very good and is close to the lake docking area. Propane is available at the campground store if you need some gas. The campground is ideally suited for rallies and has a rally coordinator which is a big help. Stone Mountain Park is a hard one to beat.

Just to let people know, even if you don't make the main "Christmas" loop sites you can still participate in all of the fun. My rally coordinator at stn mtn isn't working until Monday but as suggested let's start any overflow in the orange loop, site #1, as it's an easy walk to the main loop and I'm sure you will get plenty of visitors to your holiday decorated trailer! We finally got another airstreamer on board...Gilbert & Brenda will be bringing their 1963 Bambi. That makes one site left in the purple loop. This is turning out to be a huge success! It was a good idea SilverExpress, it just needed more time and lots of promoting

It's official, we've overflowed our Purple loop and we're in the Orange loop now! 27 and growing strong, you won't want to miss this holiday rally, where else are going to see all our awesome trailers decorated to the hilt?!

We're still gaining participants and have had more sites added. we're currently up to 32.

More?! Do you really think so?! I thought we were pretty much done but okay, the more the merrier.

As of yesterday we were sitting at 39 so we've already gained a few more.
