Is there going to be a headcount limit like previously stated? In other words, do I need to write a check and find a stamp while at my mother-in-laws for the holidays or can I wait until next week when I'm home?

1st AS 4th

For the last several summers we have tent camped at Ocracoke OBX...maybe this was just training for Bash III and our 1st AS 4th.

Our second most anticipated trip of the summer...the roller coaster capital of the world: Park Info

It's the makings of a spectacular week!

So, I'm counting the days until the post mark season opener. Tic doc goes the clock!
So are you heading up north for this rally? I think we might just stop by in a few if you're around and talk about that hitch -- we're in San Antonio now and trying to make a decision on when to pull the trigger.

We just can't wait....on a side note, watch out Jason cuz the big dog'll be heading your direction before you know it!

By calling me on the phone you will not get in. I appreciate the aggressive action to be assured a space, but a phone call is just not going to be the method.
If you want to attend, just mail in your registration. Yes, good old snail mail. It is very easy and fair to all. We have 60 spaces and any over flow will be put on a waiting list. You will most likely be able to attend if you really desire to.

On a side note I want all to know this event is put on by those that attend. We are not officially sponsored or funded by any corporation. Each person attending pays an equal share and we all benefit this way.

Frank and all,

This just sounds like the most fun rally, and when we were sitting down to do the 2012 travel schedule I was so bummed to find out it's not going to work out for us to make it . Last year I was so sure we'd be able to fit it in...

I don't think anyone should freak out about the event size limit, it all works out in the end, even if we ALL want to attend, there are things like JOBS which get in the way.

Hoping to make a Bash one day....

Tina

As of right now, I'm planning to attend the Bash III. That is, of course, if my registration is one of the first 60 to arrive. I have some schedule planning to do, but I believe we can make it work.

I'm back in Texas after a week up north in Minnesota for Christmas. (actually three days at Grandma's and four days driving to and fro) So whenever you want to swing by, you are more than welcome!

Once again, in our quest for the highly coveted "Most Distance Traveled" award, we will be towing from Caracas Venezuela via the most direct route through Oregon...gas gift cards in lieu of the usual flowers and lavish gifts would be most appreciated...

Can't wait to see all you guys again. We are hoping to bring our fourteen year old grand daughter; she has been quizzing us regularly since she saw the pictures and reports from last year.

Hey sound like you got a great plan. Lots to do here in western PA

You may want to go to Kennywood it's a great old school park.

I've heard good things about Kennywood and may try to fit it in also.

Bash III Aerial Photos

Hey Basher's ie(People that go to The Bash)

We have plans to do aerial photos of the Bash III. We did this at Bash I on Rob Baker's farm and it was a big hit. It's time to get your bash registration mailed in and you too can be in the photo.

When we first began planning for Bash3 we thought the first of the year would be the perfect time. No one looked at the calender to realize that Jan 1 was a Sunday. We also did not realize that the 2nd would be a holiday too. This kind of throws a wrench in the works, for the earliest any of you can mail things out is the 3rd of Jan. If someone has a Pitney Bowes machine, they could easily create any date they want on the letter. In case anyone is having trouble finding the registration form, here it is:

Sorry folks, still trying to get the website updated. EVERYTHING on it is incorrect!. You see the registration form posted above and here is the schedule...
BASH III SCHEDULE.pdf

That is working schedule. ANYTHING you want can be added. Want to lead a little Geocashing? How about remote control boats or cars? Quilting, needle point, sheep shearing? Want to organize a run or a bike ride? Want to teach polishing, riveting, panel replacement, or axle swaps? Feel free to set it up(just keep me out of it, I do that for a living and the Bash is my vacation). ANYTHING you want to add, just let us know.

Naptime. Naptime will be on my schedule. Maybe not on everyone else's, but surely on mine. I enjoyed very much last year laying down on the couch with the door wide open and just falling asleep.

Frank, you convinced Rick, so we're trying for a slot.

Oddly enough, the larger post offices that serve as routing centers for smaller post offices are usually open on Sundays. However, today and tomorrow are postal holidays, according to the sign on the door today.

So--maybe we'll have newbie's luck?

;-)
