Actually I've played many rounds of desert golf with Salvation Army Clubs and wiffle balls.

The key is plenty of ahem, refreshments.

Hmm...similar golf equipment shopping habits...I've got a couple of 9 iron/sand wedge type clubs, and 3 drivers(I know, I know), and a putter that looks kinda like it came from a Putt-Putt(are they still around?). No wiffle balls, just sally-type orange and yellow ones.
Still really windy here, swirls of dust between the gusts...

The beauty of the wiffle ball is...They don't go very far. I hate getting excercise while "refreshing."

The best kind of golf involves being seated with a club in one hand
and a beverage in the other
and putting to the person seated opposite you...
no one has to move anything other than bending the elbow.

I kinda like the idea of having a beverage in each hand and having someone else putt for me, whilst I give pointers...

I'll look for some food coloring...are the bloody marys gonna be green, too?

Wind is still rockin' the rig...least it's dark, so I can't see the dust...

There are plenty of fire pits, but firewood is needed...we'll find a place with a firepit large enough for 4CU standards, about THIS big and go from there...The bundles here cost $5.45, including tax...Wallyworld sells them for about 4$, and construction sites often sell them for free

Wellllll...
It's pretty much a full days drive for me so I may try to head out on Thursday if I can escape then.

I wouldn't want to be late for Friday's Happy Hour.

And I will probably stay Monday so I can properly celebrate St. Paddy's Day.

Loving the "Quartzsite Moments" btw...
