August mini-rally

Our unit will be pputting on a weekend rally in August at a new RV park west of Marble Falls, TX. The date was chosen to coincide with some celebrations in town. This is an "unofficial" rally; a repeat of our unofficial August rally last year at Georgetown. We are to have an air-conditioned clubhouse for the pot luck, but otherwise, there will be no organized meals. Maybe some coffee and doughnuts for breakfast. The rally will be structured just about like our Blanco forum rallies of the last two years.

Since this is an unofficial rally, it will be "come one-come all", just like a forum rally. WBCCI membership is not required. We had two unit rigs at the recent Blanco rally; now we hope some of you will join us at Marble Falls.

I will make this post sticky when the date nears. We hope some of the central Texas forum members will join us.

We’ll likely be there. Just let us know the particulars at some point. August is good for us. My wife will finally retire on July 31st. We’re members of the WBCCI (8862), but to this point haven’t been that involved due to her work except for a few rallies such as the Fiesta Texas rally in San Marcos last April. We’re members of the Hill Country Unit, but are interested in either transferring to or becoming associate members of your Highland Lakes unit. We’ve heard good things about your unit. Hopefully, my wife will not have insisted on going to the Colorado high country to escape the heat by the time of your “unofficial” rally. I am looking forward to meeting you.
