Met some of our neighbors...the AS across the way is a couple form Alberta...they may be joining us, at least for Happy hours and pot luck.
Another Canadian couple with SOB may wander over, too...
We lost JimMini-she fell and required some serious repair work...don't think anything was broken, but lots of stitches and staples, and necessary down-time...we hope for a rapid recovery, folks, and will tip a few to you 'round the campfire...
Supposed to be 90 today, but will start cooling off tomorrow.

We are going 101 -> I-10 -> 95. I travel that route about twice a month going to Parker.

Steve has to work a split shift today (rare, but figures). Hopefully, he's home w/in the hour to get some stuff done on the ol' C130 that he wants to still and be ready to roll when he gets up tomorrow (he's "supposed" to be getting off work sometime in the middle of the night but we know how that goes). Meanwhile, I am sewing Herk some "blackout" clothes (drapes), just in case he pushes himself and needs to crash.

Glad Jan can make it!!!

Desert Hot springs update

We are here, charging batteries, filling tanks to empty tomorrow. The golf course is beautiful but we have gale force winds blowing!!!!!!!! sites are adequate for overnight but not scenic. At least the park is well landscaped so we are not get pelted with dust. Hoping the Times can make it tonight. Debbie

Is Ron blaming his slice on the wind?

And now there are three...Paul just made it in...the wagons are starting to circle...
Lookin' at the site, I think the circle thing will work, but you'll probably need to put yer TT or Toad on the street side, or pull in perpendicular to the current style...we'll work it out...

So I'm not sure if I got this right. JimMini had an accident? Like for real? If so, and it does require stitches and staples, whoa - that must have been some round of golf.

Barry,

Min fell at home while loading the trailer. Well thats the story anyway. I think she was trying to smack some sense into Jim myself. 11 stiches and 17 staples later she's back at home.

We'll tip a few for you and a few for Jim & Min too.

I hope someone will capture the spirit of this rally as well as someone anonymously captured a previous one. Those of us too far distant to attend are awaiting breathlessly.

Geez, I had no idea this type of stuff goes on at the rallies (no wonder Milo couldn't miss this one). I agree with Pat, monitoring is obviously required, and of course photographic documentation.
