Ken - I'm really starting to wonder about you. Hopefully you can get caught up on all yer missed rallies after April 15th. Which other ones are you going to miss?
Did someone say Margarita Ball?

I've also got to get my belly pan on before I go too far with the trailer - short trips I'm ok - after a 3 year rebuild, I'm taking it a bit slow, watching the rear view mirror to make sure things don't go flying off since I've rebuilt this thing from ground up - so far so good.

I refuse to drink and tell especially of my new 4CU friends. That would be "bad form" or in this case, "bad forum."
What happens at 4CU stays at 4CU. You'll just need to attend then someone will not tell about you.

35 days until the next rally!
Feedback from the cottonwood rally was so good that I'm looking for fun ideas for this rally.
First thought is to do a Southwest themed pot luck on Friday night.
Mexican…. New Mexican….Tex-Mex….all fit the bill....
and so does the M-Ball.

I'm looking for fun ideas for this rally
One of the unusual features at the next rally will be the presence of a shooting range.
Of course everyone knows about poking holes in paper targets, but a much more fun event is "Clearing the Bowling Pins".
This event consists of placing 5 bowling pins on top of an old card table and asking each shooter in turn to clear the table from a distance of 7 yards. Shortest time wins.
The pins must be completely off of the table, not just knocked over.
While this is a fun event, it also simulates a defense shooting senario.
Completely removing the pins from the table requires something more potent than a .22 and the challenge of shortest time does apply a bit of stress to the shooting. I have actually seen a guy with a 15 round 9mm run dry and failed to clear the table.

It is Arizona after all....
BTW if you don't own a pair of cowboy boots, you may want to pick a pair up at
Cowtown Boots
5190 N Casa Grande Hwy
Tucson, AZ 85743
It will add to the Tucson experience....

mr. dream stream 25,
you have my very short attention.
i love anything to do with hand 'n eyes...
darts, cosmic bowling, pool (kinda slow cause of all the yakers), SHOOTING.
so anyway,
while in Dead Horse last week, liz and I went out in the hemi; drinking AND shooting. i just love arizona. so there we were shooting out windows outa old buildings in the middle 'o the desert. way cool.
so anyways,
does it count if i were to say shoot one leg of the table away? and all the pins drop? like with one round? or placed like low, blowing away like 12" of earth under the leg?
i carry a smith n wesson model 329PD titantium .44 with a four inch barrel for just that reason... i always figure that whomever is going to eat me is gonna do it "drive by style" (well i do live in so. cal.), so i carry a .44 mag w/ 300 grain +p's. first i shoot the motor, one time, one round, then i start punching HUGE holes right down the lower half of the rig. kinda like opening up a can. the only problem? the rounds are going through like three engine blocks... so i guess shoot in front of a big rock or something, or a stucco house or ten...
does this count?
if so...
i'm attending...
what does the greeter position pay?
who's doing what for the pot luck?
can i bring liz?

I'm thinking Mexican/ southwest theme........
kind of a southwest ho-down..
Think Hank Williams sr. not Jr.... Jr’s cool but we're going old school...
I’ll make my almost famous refried beans… enough to feed an army...also will be picking up the best tortillas in AZ on the way just off St. Mary’s Blvd...
I'll also make some queso fundido… I’ll come up with more…
Does anyone have another outdoor propane stove? I have one with a griddle but could use a second to finish the beans outside... it's a mess but worth all of the trouble…much easier outside.
