April MH Rally central, west?
The biggest complaint of the Mystic Springs rally is that the location is too far for many folks. There are many MH owners in the central and LOTS in the western U.S. Anyone willing to organize a central or western motorhome rally the weekend of April 4-6, 2003 in addition to the existing Mystic Springs rally?
There are lots of California members here? Where is that west coast spunk?

We might make a western (colorado) rally if in late June or early July. Mystic works for me in April though.

I have said this before but will say it again for all the new members. The group of MH owners does not want to start our own club or do anything to hurt WBCCI membership or participation.
We love all Airstream products (including those painted Airstreams called "Argosy" ) and would love to have any and all Forums members at these rallies. It is really fun to get the MH's together since they are fairly rare and have unique issues to address. Although Airstreams in general seem to getting more and more rare.
Enough said!

Western locations
Spunk? we are laid-back out here. How about somewhere in New Mexico or better yet Vegas. That would get the Californian's and Texan's there for sure. And what about piggy backing on a regular AS rally?

We've got Spirit
We would love to attend a western rally with some of the members of the forum. We belong to the Land Yacht harbor club but until now have been unable to attend many things but now I am retired so we are ready.
Evan what part of Tacoma? We are in Federal Way, Have a neighbor with a 28 foot Deisel we have a 310 deisel. Lots of places around the PNW that take reservations

Western MH rally
Hello Dave, we are in Fife Heights just south of you. We have not joined the Harbor club even though we have owned 4 AS's since 1991. I guess we should get around to joining, hopefully this year. I would like to see a western show with the forum crowd but the main players seem to all be in the southeast. I would be willing to drive down to a southwest location. Has anyone looked into doing a Airstream Motorhome event along with a regular AS rally?

Hi Evan our unit is Washington http://www.wbcci.org/RegionPage.asp?Region=10 we are unit 112. The ages very and they do have several functions every year. Nice place to stay albeit no pool but 175 full hookups and a huge hall that they use also rent out for Cheap.
Maybe we can spurn some interest with the west coast members to do say a northern Ca or Oregon coast rally or just a get to gether. Kinda nice to put faces with names.
Dave

Note that our first rally was informal because none of knew anything about having a rally but wanted to get together. Brett and Edie are the most rally-knowledgeable but I'm sure they were worried that the Basher might not make it.
Just do it! Sounds like the pacific northwest is getting going!
Southern Cal. could meet at Yucaipa Land Yacht Harbor east of LA. What do you think? What is that place like?

A really great place to have a rally would be in Carlsbad NM. I was thinking about posting something on the VAC list about this. We were there in November and had the whole place to ourselves. The caverns are really great/huge. There is a really great new campground there with a big meeting room. And its all brand new with really beautiful tile baths. If anyone is interested in a fall rally - I would be up for that .... its a great time to go there.

I haven't been to Yucaipa, but did call them. Apparently it now has only one (1) space which is set aside for Airstreams. All other spaces seem to be permanent residences/vacation trailers.

Why not just do the MH together with the GA/AL/TN rally April 15-17? Seems that at least three. possibly four have replied as attending. I might even make the drive down from STL, but have to check my schedule.

I think there is one already planned at Casini Ranch on the Russian River in Sonoma County, CA., very close to Santa Rosa. I believe it's that very weekend in April, but not sure. I was planning on just cruising thru with my MH, cuz there will be only the trailers there, and I believe the 10 or 12 spots are spoken for. Do a search.
