More Deadhorse II Pics

Thanks to Jan & Richard for a well organized rally. We had a great time. Thanks to Richard for the use of his multimeter and generator, and to Anthony for his assistance with my inoperative trailer brakes.

A few photos are attached.

Sorry I missed it....!

Hello all -

SO sorry that I missed DHII, but getting there from here just wasn't gonna' happen... Really loved seing the Photos (Thanks Gypsy!), but it all got me to wondering.... where was Kevbo???? There was a party there, and the "Life" of the party wasn't in any photo that I could see.... NO GREETER? How did everyone park....? I am mystified.

Please clarify!

Thanks, and I'm hoping that DHIII fits into the time frame! YEAH, LET'S RALLY!

I received confirmation from Dead Horse Ranch State Park today. We have the site reserved for President's weekend in 2009. Sometime this fall, look for the official announcement for:
Dead Horse 3

GREAT NEWS Richard, I know you were bummed when it looked like FCU wouldn't get it for President's Weekend. I even started looking for an alternative but couldn't find anything as good or in such a great location. Gail and I will be there but you really do need to get a professional greeter.

I may be cheap, have a cowboy hat and did wave one car through but my skills, as an amateur, don't approach those of a professional greeter. Hope for Kevbo's return!

Here is a few of our favorite pictures from Dead Horse. Yes, that is snow on the first morning, Jan and Gail in the cold and PeeWee with our family. The last one is from our stop overnight in Joshua Tree National Park on the way home; in the same campsite as our first Airstream trip!

peeped out...?

Perhaps this will be the last post FROM Dead Horse SP...Cloudy all day, with bits of sunshine. We have our tires!!!BUT, they couldn't align them, as the front air suspension 'doughnuts' were both shot...probably why the tires were so quickly worn...anyway, the recommended mechanic said he cuold do it in about 4 hours, but not until next Thursday
Since the front end alignment isn't possible without the replacement of the doughnuts(power rings?), and driving it a few hundred miles won't put us in further harms way, we are out of here.
Dave & Kerry will also be leaving...we had a great campfire at the ring, fun conversation, and called it quits about 11:30.
Richard & Jan-besides another THANK YOU, sign us up for DH3 yesterday...
I hope to be wearing my crown, by then.

OOPS...should have said I hope I'll be wearing my TIARA by then...
almost 10:00 am, and we are leaving...Dave & Kerry are gone...I saw a truck backed into their(Richard&Jan's spot) space, and there is a SOB trailer blocking the rest of the view...thought it was them...went togive them one of the peep twins, carrying it under my coat for protection from the light rain we are experiencing...got up closer, and it was a fold out camper...glad I had it under my coat...went to the bathroom, pulled it out(peep) to put it on the counter, and horse-ridin' Tex was in there...our reputation continues...the look on his face pretty much told me there was nothing I could say to explain this one...he left rather quickly.
This is, officially, the end of DH2...bye, good people.

We arrived back home yesterday and are unpacking and cleaning up the AS today. We had no problems along the way, but hit some rainy weather we would have rather avoided. I really love the pictures everyone posted. We had a great time. A million thanks to Jan and Richard, and everyone else that made this one of the best rallies we've attended. Although we're not in the 4CU, we sure feel right at home with you all. We look forward to seeing you again down the Airstream Highway.
