Ha! They will be drugged into culinary bliss by the amazing taste and interesting ingredients, not by any pharmaceuticals slipped into the pot.

Susan

PS - Gee, I sure can talk big about what is probably a pretty mediocre pot of chili!

Laura says that she'll volunteer to bring "Beano" for the chili cook off.

Don't forget the free shuttle

FYI: The Compton South is awesome. I went down and checked it out a couple of weeks ago and reserved our site. It's just around the curve from north so if you want to come and you are at the bottom of the list for the north location you might consider booking at the south location and then if you get a spot at north you can cancel at south and if not . . you are there baby!

The south location has an Indoor pool, close to Silver Dollar City, friendly helpful people, and they have a free shuttle bus that runs to and from Silver Dollar City all day long. I'm sure the shuttle runs from the north lacation as well.

It should be beautiful this fall. We have had a very moist summer for a change which should produce some fantistic views.

Enjoy you journey to the Ozarks, be safe and we'll see you there!

PS. I think we reserved site 41, so feel free to stop by and say hi.

Yup, Kim and I'll be there either Tuesday or Wednesday, Steve. Also, put us down on Saturday's cookoff for "Kim's stuffed jalapenos"... ought to go just fine with chili!

BTW - got one set of my "pride & joys" on the avitar. The other set is wine red maple (can't post it - sez file's too large). Both Noble & Cooley, rim mounts.

Does Compton Ridge North allow campfires? Ain't talkin' "Kumbaya", but something maybe that we can get alot of folks involved in...?

Bill,

I'll add you for stuffed jalapenos on Saturday.

We have almost all the spots in the campground, and we are taking over the pavillion area in the north grounds for our festivities.

Ahh yes....It is getting to be that time.

I guess that the chili competition really didn't take off like we thought it would, but it still looks like there will be some good stuff.

Even if not participating in the cookoff, we can make it into another potluck that evening. I understand many won't be available to participate in Friday's potluck due to late arrival.
