Thank you Anita, I reserved A-14. My rig is 36 ft long so I think this will work out just fine. Thanks also for checking on the shuttle bus too. So see ya in February ! Now the weeks will drag by huh ? My first trip out this year. I am psyched !

South Beach State Park has sites available
South Beach State Park will have non-reservable sites available for the Festival weekend. Who else will be attending the Festival? There is a meeting hall here, also. Lots of possibilities to get together.

South Beach State Park reservations
I've now been told that South Beach will have all sites on the reservation system, for the Festival weekend, for Friday and Saturday nights only, in loops E, F, and G. That means reservations are advised! Non-reservable sites will not be available, as previously stated.

Good Morning Everyone !
They have opened up the other three loops at South Beach SP. Does anyone else want to come down and join us ? I was thinking of reserving a few sites together if there is enough intrest. I'll have to know fairly soon because of the available sites will go pretty quickly as the dates get nearer.
The dates are Feb. 24 to the 26th. I will be there on the night of the 23rd. and Stef will be there Friday. and Anita is already there ( camp host ).
Reply to this thread if you are interested in making this unofficial mini-mini-rally/getogether.

Chris gave me the tip that the festival can be mighty busy on Saturday, so I think we're going to make an extra day of it and come down Thursday night or Friday morning.
There's three of us - it's a mini-rally! Who else wants to come? Speak up and by next weekend we'll figure out the best way to get all our spots close together!

Since you are now officially a mini-rally I added you to the rally calendar. Be sure to add your name to the list so you can see who is attending. Wish we could come.

I emailed all the folks I know who aren't on the forum (or aren't on often) and encouraged them to come. So far the Timliks (they brought their vintage Bambi to BG Lake Rally last spring) are in! So that's one more! Still waiting to hear back from the others.

I may be able to attend.....
Chris, Steph, et al,
We just got back from a 2400+ mile trip, so have to see what's developed since we've been gone. We've never been to this festival....but have heard great things!
Would love to see ya all again!
We'll tune in later after we've checked our snail mail!

I know of no better place to be that weekend......
Count us in......what do I need to do to reserve a space in the AS community on South Beach? We were also getting cabin fever......So, to remedy this.....we just spent two weeks in sunny CA.......specifically in Yosemite, Sequoia, Death Valley, and Redwoods NPs. Wow, what a trip......and in the middle of winter to boot! I'll post some pics later! In the mean time I've done some thinking........Steph and David are coming......Anita will be hosting.......and maybe with a little luck.....Janet and Gary can come (they won't have to cook anything since we'll all be at the festival). So sounds great to me! No committments in this rally.....just show up!

Come on, you guys can do it! I know I've got the cabin fever bad, I can't wait to get the trailer out again. I emailed CampCollector to prod them into coming too
Jim and Cheryl, glad to hear you'll be joining us - It's starting to sound like a regular party!

South beach
I have never been to the festival, But I know it can be very busy. I will speak with the wife and see if she would like to go. I know the manager there Dennis comfort and all the rangers, I'll see if there is any inside info on loops and such. I just hope the weather eases I am sick of the rain. We have puddles everywhere.

Your "On-the-ground" contact...
Let me know anything in Newport I can do in advance of the weekend. We'll be around, but won't be able to camp this time. The following week, I'm producing the Home & Garden Show at the fairgrounds in Newport, and we start move-in of materials on Sunday of the Seafood and Wine Festival.
Stephanie, you're right about Saturday...it will be busy. Last year, I was making some changes in telephone lines at the event on Saturday morning about 6 am...by 7 the line had formed and the doors weren't opening until 10!
Friday afternoon/evening is much more "mellow."
Look forward to seeing everybody there!

OK - We're in! Is someone making reservations?
We couldn't resist - I don't do Seafood and hubby doesn't do wine... seems like a perfect fit.
