Nice park
That looks like a good spot count us in. Here is a little hideaway that might be fun someday if we can ever find it. Looks like it might be a long tow in a southerly direction but who knows. Dave & Penny

Isn't that place in Placerville?
Hey Dave, did you watch "Carriers" last nite on pbs? It's about - yup you guessed it ,Aircraft Carriers. Life on the Nimitz, You squids had it good! and the flight deck operations are nothing short of spectacular. I only landed once on a carrier, in a 46 and that was something else. As flat tops pilots say- a carrier landing is like having sex in a car wreck. hum
anyway this is a great show I think it is 10 episodes.
Well I gotta run full plate today

O.K.
I spoke with Missy this am.She is quite willing to work with us- bear with me.
I have 30 sites reserved for 2 weekends oct10-13 and17-19. The clubhouse is reserved the entire month already! It is OK to move picnic tables together for pot luck. She is sending me 2 contracts one for each weekend. There is a $100 refundable deposit that goes back with the contract- I'll cover that.It is OK to pay individually full amount due at time of check in!! They have done this with a few internet clubs already. When you check in you will be given a space assignment. Then as most arrive with empty tanks you pull forward to the dump station and a few gallons of fresh water are added to your tank with the formaldahyde free stuff. You proceed to your site and enjoy yourself! pretty painless.
No tents but shade shelters ar OK, they need to be staked, tied , whatever down. No Generators.
She said a keg party would be fine with her, She's invited, No glass in the pool area, NO GLASS in the pool area. A cooler with ice is fine.NO GLASS in the pool area!
3 pm check in time, I asked what if everyone shows up at 3? She chuckled and said it could get busy! She said that early arrivals up to 2 hours should not be a problem, but that she could not guarantee if you could get into your site, Lawn may be getting mowed, maint to systems etc.
I requested the sites at the end of the bluff, all backins, no pull thru's.Great views. She said that was unusual as most groups fight to be closest to the club house!Check out time 11am, I'm gonna see if that can be extended an hour or so, or maybe pay a little extra.
$25 a nite, rates are to be increased soon she indicated but would stay at 25 if I get the contract back asap.
So whats it gonna be?
What weekend?
Who's in?
Time for a new thread, Big Dee?

Hi All, I'm still trying to figure out how to respond to a specific post ... Ted and Marion are "in" for either the Oct 10 or Oct 17 rally ... and I'm guessing from Doorgunner's email, we pay when we check in? Looking forward to seeing you all from the Casini rally as well as meeting any new faces.

Either weekend works for us!
We'll be back from Burning Man and will probably just be finishing up cleaning out all of the playa dust out of the trailer.
Isn't the weekend of the 10th a full moon weekend? Woo Hoo!

We're in! We'd prefer the full moon...that's when I get my tan. So, our vote is for the weekend of the Oct. 10-12.
Thanks DG & LL for doing all of the legwork and schmoozin' with Missy.
So, here's the list so far (if we decide on OCT 10, that is):
Doorgunner.............Tim and Linda Lu
Luminati.................Mark and Karin
Yhottys..................Gemma and Murray
moymew................Marion And Ted
Now, as Dave (Fyrzowt) explained so well, "In the post that you want to respond to, click the "Quote" button in the lower right corner of the post. That will give you a quote of the post, just start typing.
Please add your name and post it.

Brief thread resurrect.
During a nostalgia recap, we realized that we forgot to post a thanks to Neil and Lynn for taking on the "greeter" job at Casini, and doing it with such humor and warmth.
Thanks, guys!

Our pleasure, even though the 'job' was by default. Life experience has taught us not to, or be cautious about, volunteering. This job was a no-brainer and most enjoyable to such a fine group of Airstreamers.
Love ya all,
Neil
