Hi Lumanati,

Is that's by Caples or Red Lake?

They have 31 RV sites...and they rent kayaks!

"Blue Lake is a natural mountain lake, with native Bass, Crappie, Bluegill and Catfish. It is also stocked regularly with Rainbow Trout by the Fish and Game Department.

Green lawns, shade trees and crystal clear waters surround the accommodations in a natural setting of beauty and each has a view of the lake"

Just adding to the confusion! Karin
.... to perpetuate 'the confusion' but is Blue Lakes at Clear Lake? Their "Map" button will not work for me.

The Blue Lakes are located North of Clear Lake, on HWY 20. They are tucked in between pines and mountains. If you were to continue N you would run into Lake Mendocino (another wonderful campground, sans full-hook-ups )

Going North on 101 you would go past Ukiah and then East on Hwy 20.
From the East...I don't know! Probably Williams to Clear Lake???

Thanks for the Satellite photos Jeff.

I think we are running into a wall here. We all want to stay close to home do to fuel cost. All the above mention places are great with us. Maybe some can set up pole on a few site and let that choose the place. The next would be the final dates.. Just an idea...

I don't see any wall-
I don't see many looking for other places'
Hey Robert didn't you say you were going to be out of the country in Oct? Hope your plans have changed!!

Just spoke with the Rodeo trainer here, She says that Jackson Rancheria has a brand stinking new 100 site RV park with full hookups, I've not googled it, she says it's pretty nice for that kind of place.
She has also stayed at the 49er place in Plymouth and has good reports about it also.
I really don't have much else to add, other than I'ld like to stay within 150 miles of Lodi,
As I recall at Casini everyone was Hot on the foothills- what happened??

Hi Robert, Big Dee and doorgunner..seems there are suggestions for the foothills and for back down towards central ca..think a poll might indeed be a good way to as far as deciding the exact region of choice..

well gold ranch is 155 miles from lodi and casa de fruita is 100 miles. these are the top choices in my book.

the 49er place will require everyone to make reservations within a 72 hour window. that will never work.

jackson is a very nice park but they don't allow any open fires. thats out.

hi paula,

i'm adverse to polls after my last experience with the LSA poll. people voted who weren't even going to the rally plus it created bad feelings. i think we should just decide it here on this thread with those that are chiming in. this limited group responding to this thread should decide. just my opinion anyway.

so let's vote here:

i vote for gold ranch

Are there any more images/photos for Casa De Fruta? It would be nice to see what the camp sites actually look like.

We couldn't find any other images-just what they have on their main page.

We've driven past the Boomtown camp site and its charms were lost on us.

We're fine with just electric and water hook ups if the dump station is convenient.

Later in October is preferrable for us.

'Looking forward to seeing everyone again in about five months!

Rio Viento

DG, how far is this location from you?
Rio Viento RV Park
Years prior there was discussion about a location within the delta.
A fairly spartian location but its a new RV park.

Jeff;
It's just a few clicks from Brannan Island State Park- The place LL and I checked out last weekend!
I could go over there this week and check it out if there is any interest. Altho it is as Karin states a parking lot type of place, the sites do look large and grassy.Looks kinda nice! I'm also thinking of getting out a map and locating the members base locations then plotting the geographical center. Just a thought.
Unfortunately it looks like I may not be able to attend due to some medical procedures soon to be scheduled, but I'm still willing to do a little "scouting".
Matter of fact LL and I are thinking of doing brunch at the Jackson Rancheria soon and checkin out their rv place just for our own info. We go to some concerts at Ironstone Vinyards and this place would be ideal for us, as it's close to the venue.

wow nice find jeff. this park looks awesome. only drawback seems it's really windy ("best windsurfing in the world"). and looks like no tables at the sites but "party tents are available for groups." seems pretty centrally located and close to all. DG, looks like its about 25 miles from you. wow now thats close. want to scout it out?
