My husband is from
Bloomington, IL and if we had read about this rally before this we would have tried to come up
From GA! My mother in law has full
Hook Ups at her house there. Beautiful country. You can see so far when it is so flat!

Well, put us on the calendar for next year--always the second weekend in June.

Great rally - thanks to everyone who made it possible. Weather couldn't possibly have been better for four straight days. Wish I could say the same for the rest of today.
Usually don't travel interstates but decided to do so today. On I74 about 3 miles north of the Galesburg exit things came to a completer halt for over an hour while a tractor-trailer fire was put out. What makes this doubly bad is that originally I was planning on taking 34 at Galesburg and changed my mind at the last minute.
Stopped for gas in Clear Lake, IA just before I got to McIntosh Woods SP where I am right now. When I pulled into the gas station my hitch - Reese Dual Cam - seemed to be making more noise than usual. When I got to the park and into my site discovered that the cam assembly on the curb side was broken - the threaded end that screws into the adjuster had snapped in half - and if you have a Reese you know how thick this bolt end is. Now am going to have to try and scare up a new one tomorrow. Hope someone in Mason City, IA carries Reese or I may be in trouble. Amazing that the bar didn't fall off.
And now we're under a Severe T-storm Watch until 11PM with the threat of large hail. Just what I need.
And if that wasn't enough there was a pair of buzzards circling over the park from the time I got here about 5 until dark. Wonder if they were trying to tell me something?

Thanks to everyone at Moraine View for welcoming us into the Air Forums family with open arms. This was our first rally and it definitely won't be our last. We met some pretty special folks and shared some great tin moments (and the food was mighty tasty, too). It's only a shame we live so darn far away! A 9 hour drive with a 50 year old trailer and all is well--breathing easy again.
Look us up if you're in the Branson area--there's always room for kindred tin! Plus, we've got a lake just down the road and plenty of kayaks and canoes (and horses) on the ranch.
Thanks again for the great weekend!

Some of you were aware I was "slaying dragons" this week, dressed up and gone the day on Thursday and Friday.
Happy to report the final score is Maggie, 2 and dragons, 1. Got the big claims, lost a smaller one. It's good, and it's over.

Thanks to everyone who attended. It was an outstanding rally with more food that we have ever seen. Most of us who contributed food walked away with empty bowls and platters so it looks like we all have gotten the quantities down pat. Thank you Maggie & Doug for the pancakes on Saturday morning! That was a nice addition to the food fare. More thanks to all of you who contributed side items to the Friday Hot Dog Fest, and to the Saturday morning Pancake Breakfast. It truly was overwhelming the amount and varieties of food we had available.
The weather was just great. Some of the best temps ever with the day being comfortable with a breeze off the lake. Nights were cool but not to the point that we had to have jackets on.
You all stayed around to watch our feature flick "RV" so obviously we had a winner there.
Thanks to the sons of Curt and Haley Tate (Cottage) who gave Patty and I some etched wine glasses to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the rally. It's been a fun time doing these rallies and really the tip of the cap is to all of you who come back year after year.
Jack & Patty
