Hey Renee and Derek,

Do you know of any Michigan state parks or just campgrounds with heated shower houses that allow Snowmobiling? I think I saw a few way up north. But we are looking for one a little closer to home. If we take the Airstream snowmobiling we will have to have a second tow vehicle (for the sleds) and would rather not go north of Grand Rapids too far....(this is all part of a 2011 Super Bowl weekend planning kind of thing). Any ideas? Anyone.

I didn't grow red hair, but that's what some of the diehard airstream trailer owners call us folks with the fiberglass motorhomes. It's ok with me as I've been called worse.
Grace and I are in MI. right now, but hope to find some warm weather around April.
Happy Valentines day to all the ladies on this thread.

We are here in the UP waiting for some snow. Seems like it is going everywhere but here. Go figure!
Would be nice to have some fresh stuff for the dog sled races on Friday.

Hey Mike,
I don't know of any off hand, but I'll try to search around a bit. The snow is always too spotty to rely on snowmobiling in our neck of the woods, or anything south of Rockford for that matter......so it's very rare indeed that we cruise the local trails. We tend to head at least a few hours north, and usually wait until Wednesday or Thursday to make solid plans of where we head based on the trail conditions.

Renee

I would love to go to the dog races!! I hope you have snow up the kazoo! I have to work Friday. I ride with the dialysis residents to the hosptial and get them "situated."

I think Thursday Brad might be in upper Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan carting home the 2004 28' Airstream. I hope...I hope...I hope!!!!

The only time we tried snowmobiling...not!...was when we rented a house near the Porkies and white out conditions (couldn't see 12 inches in front of your face) closed down the entire state park and sent us whining for being dug out (up to our chest drifts at the house door) and home we went instead of cross country skiing and renting snowmobiles.

I do love snow and wood burning fires, assuming there is coffee and Bailey's and I am wearing long underwear.

We went to the winter festival in Door County one February and enjoyed the dressed up dog contest, not enough ice for the ice sculpture, hot chili, the parade and the weather in general. Winter camping too can be so quiet and beautiful in the pines.

Carol, the race starts at 7:10p on Friday. What time is dialysis? You could make it if you drove really, really fast! We are having a party at the neighbors across the road. Their property backs up to the old rail grade where the race is run. Big bonfire trail side and I hear we are going to have some sort of grill trailer on one of the snowmobiles. Fun, fun, fun!

Hi All,

Just curious, are there many kids at this rally for a couple of boys to hang out with?
