what?

What is that and when is that?? I admit that I haven't heard about that before. Might be a good and crazy idea.

Dan,

I always wanted to do the dream cruise, and I think it would be cool but understand that it is crazy busy on Woodward during the cruise. A few of the units from TCT set up a small encampment on 9 mile and Woodward (or at least that is where they have been in the past) in Fashionable Ferndale! I am open to leading this excursion if there is enough interest.
It would take every bit of an hour or a little more to caravan up there and cruise for awhile, and then get out and back to Milan. I am thinking we would have to go mid-morning in order to get back for pot-luck....? All that said I would love to see that hot-rod Durango pull a hole shot with an Airstream.

Hey Brother Wagon, Some questions from your Brother of Aluminum. What is or who is a TCT? And more importantly, What is "Natty Bo"? Are they anything like the breakfast you took me to in Frankenmuth? You know food is one of my favorite things!!!!!

a TCT is a tin can tourist. That is the oldest RV club dedicated to vintage rigs including all brands.

Natty Bo is slang for National Bohemian. It was a local beer for many years and then closed due to consolidation. It is now brewed again some where else and shipped to Baltimore where 99.8% of it is consumed. Most people consider it low brow beer, but here in Baltimore it is beloved by most. It goes hand in hand with steamed crabs another Maryland tradition supplied by other states.

I am not serving any crab cakes for breakfast. I will however, serve up a very square traditional breakfast of bacon, sausage, potatoes, eggs to order, and pancakes until you are full. I usually put out a hat and people throw in what they feel it was worth. No obligation to kick in anything... it all balances out in the end. I have done this six times now and it always comes within a few dollars.

All this breakfast talk is making me hungry!!! Between Frank and Lou it sounds like I get to eat my breakfast hot this year. Woo Hoo!

Frank, when we decide what's for breakfast I buy what we need. We don't charge a rally fee but we fund what we need through our rally. Everyone usually donates whatever they have on hand, Airstream related or not. We had ALOT of great stuff last year! The raffle went on forever. We made so much money we covered costs and 5 people won their camping fees back.

Lou and Larry, of course we want your help! You've seen what a mess I am in the kitchen.

Ya Know I can give ya a break in the kitchen also. Larry and I work good together, I had a restaurant back in the 70's, I know my way around a grill, its like ridin a bike ya know. Participating is what makes it fun,and interacting with people we enjoy.
Ralph knows where to get the best corn. I cant wait to see my fireman friend again, best pitman in the business. Fred I enjoyed the fires you built.

copper and fire

I am looking for the directions of how to construct the fire color creating copper pipes? That would be really fun at other gatherings too. I am not sure I remember who brought those last year.

I think it was Joe Peplinski that did them at the Wilds last year. Cool stuff....

Derek and Renee brought that fabulous idea when they joined us several years ago. It's nothing more than copper pipe and old garden hose!

Here is the link: How to Add Color to Campfires | eHow.com

The copper pipes can be COOLED off and then be reused by re-stuffed with hose. Those that have done this say that the cheaper the garden hose you stuff in the better. Folks go around digging them out of the trash or using old ones that people throw away.
