The copper pipes can be COOLED off and then be reused by re-stuffed with hose. Those that have done this say that the cheaper the garden hose you stuff in the better. Folks go around digging them out of the trash or using old ones that people throw away.

Some people might even "borrow" hose from the annoying neighbor next door.

Sure doesn't take too long for this thread to go to hell. At our age we don't even buy green bananas, but blue noodles will make every effort to attend. Sorry Rhonda.

Nope, it wasn't me. I've seen them burn, but never made or bought any. Sorry.

I did once talk to someone that knew how to make them, though. The formula was copper pipe, plus rubber hose, plus some third ingredient that I can't remember (and no the third ingredient is NOT beer).

third ingredient

Larry says that the third ingredient was a piece of steel wool stuffed into the pipe.

I think in this case there are likely many different ways to make these things. The third ingredient I was told about was some sort of powered substance (no kidding). I just can't remember what is was.

Adding another vote for the August 20-22 dates. Busy Year with planned Daughters wedding and thought we would have to miss this rally in 2010 but those dates fit perfectly. Hope to see everyone from past rallies and many more new Airstream friends. Still thinking about meeting up with everyone for Antsy in Cincinnati but too early to tell about that.

With Loudruff, Mikethefixit, and ctdair having talked-up this rally for the last year to Andrea and I, I can't see how we can miss it. Aug 20-22 fits nicely for us on the calendar. Bring it on! Any Ohioans want to start planning a caravan?

Awesome. I hope it lives up to your expectations! If we make a bar chart or line graph would it make it more appealing to you?!

Oh, yes, it would! But what would you chart? Attendance by year?

You must have read my post in the "not going to international" thread...

I thought Rhonda was going to chart the line to the bar. Ralph can GPS you to the recipe... Actually it's on the way back to the trailer that I could really use a system to find my way.

Well, it turns out neither weekend works for us! The later weekend turns out to be the same weekend we move Drew into college. As I suspect he may kick us out quickly after the "arch" ceremony, we may make the trek up to join the group for part of the weekend.

I'm absolutely positive Dawn will be an emotional wreck, so more recipe will probably be in order.....

I was thinking same thing...
There's a lot of rigs here that would own the cruise!

I've been a couple times on event day (people start 'cruising' weekends well before 21st- drives the Royal Oak residents crazy).

Seen some pretty amazing rides...

Where the heck have I been?

Wow, page 5 and I'm just getting on board. Just let me know the date and we will plan to be there.

Rollarboy-looking forward to fresh eggs. We lost 1/2 our flock to one of our dogs. Need more chickens!

I vote for crab cakes for breakfast. The best breakfast I have ever had was an eggs benedict made with crab cakes. I keep trying to relive the moment. Ahhh, how I love Seattle!

I think we may even bring the trailer this year...maybe.
