Hacker's Rally 2010

Hacker’s Rally, Royston, GA, May 14th – 16th 2010
Join us for a weekend rally at Victoria Bryant State Park in Royston, GA May 14th through 16th. The campground is superb; located 30 minutes north of Athens, the pea gravel sites have water and electric, there is a covered pavilion with fire ring, and the park contains the Highland Walk Golf Course at Victoria Bryant.
The idea is simple: combine golf with pleasure (Airstreaming!). The park has an 18 hole golf course “woven among steep rolling hills with generous fairways leading to all new sloping Bermuda greens”.
A beautiful stream runs through the park, there are a number of hiking trails, and several stocked fishing ponds.
There are a limited (27) number of sites, and this is a very popular campground, so if interested make reservations quickly. Hope to see you there!

There has been much specaltion as to whether Tiger Woods will be at the Hacker's Rally, but rules prevent me from disclosing until the press conference tomorrow. Stay tuned.

I would like to go if the stars line up just right. I haven't played golf since my oldest was born...the things we do for our kids! I don't even have clubs any more, but if things go just right I might be able to sneak way with the Airstream just to hang around for the rally during non golf times.

We'll see.

You don't have to play golf to enjoy the rally - it's just an added option - but a good one, though! Hope to see you there!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I haven't spent much time on Airforums recently so I was not aware of this rally. This might just work for us. We're working on vacation plans and mid May looks promising.

Heckler's welcomed - actually encouraged. Like Groucho said, he'd hate to be a member of any group that would accept him as a member.

FYI, I think Tiger will be there, but can't precisely confirm.

I think people have been confused by the rally name - I've had numerous requests from ex-smokers thinking this was a great idea.
