Rivet Forums Mississippi River Rally?

Now this looked like quite an interesting way to have a rally! I wonder what kind of infrastructure the barge could provide?

Well it is obviously surrounded by one of the world's largest black water dump stations.

Wonder whose insurance coverage is in effect?
Do you have any further info on what is the rest of the story of that picture?

OH they stole my idea

I drive by the St.Louis Arch most mornings, down by the river, park and eat my nutritional donuts. I was thinking that it would be fun to do that very same thing....... I've seen all sorts of floating hotels parked at the river front, and My great uncle took a 'cruise' about ten years ago, where everyone had a tent on a flatbed barge....is that what on calls it.... a flat bed????

I think we should work on that....It might be really expensive though, but yet cheaper than a WBCCI rally.

Ohhh.. bad jab, sorry....

I've seen some ads, possibly in Trailer Life for these trips. The barge provides fresh water, sewage, and electrical hookups for all units. I never priced this though.

Rollin' Down the River. . .now that would be SO much fun! Picture it now: St Loo to Noo Orleens on the barge with our AS's to headquarter in. . .stopping in at Natchez or other spots along the way (what can accomodate a barge like that pulling in?) and then caravaning back up the Trace! (Maybe I'd better check out my geography. Is the Trace on the wrong side of things? We just read a thread that described the Trace as a terrific drive.) I've always been tempted by the thought of a Mississippi Queen or Delta Queen cruise, but I love my AS a whole lot more than those. . .think it could be done? At what kind of cost? Hmmmm!
