Wanda Fa is summering there as we speak... and yes, the bees are alive and well. I'm going to charge them rent. What do folks do about the bees? They are brutal - and hungry!
It's not a gated community - just a fence and a gate. There is room to turn around in the driveway, could probably fit 3-4 AS's for a cozy get-together, but it would be tight. It would be an awesome setting for a get-together, but (property) size is a bit constricting. Maybe some time we could do an outing at FDR State Park and host dinner or a cookout or something at our place - FDR is about 5 miles from our cabin.
My goal is to build a covering to the left of the house to cover Wanda - put in 30 amp service etc., but other priorities, like food and gas, seem to be taking preference.
We've had a few visitors already...

Love the screened porch, Brad. A FDR Rally sounds good to me. Perhaps a Summer Kick-off Rally or a Mid-winter Rally. Something that wouldn't conflict with established rallies...sounds like you have it all figured out.

You know FDR is only a little over an hour from our house. It's about 65 miles from the rear gate, or a little over 45 minutes to the turn-off from Hwy. 85 (not I-85). So if you are ever down that way and need anything in a pinch, give me a call.

Cut out a tennis racquet-shaped piece of plywood and practice your forehands and backhands.
Be sure to setup a video camera so you can show us your skills at the next rally.

Wow! We love FDR and Pine Mountain. The "cabin" looks like quite a place to relax. There might be just a little too much space for relaxing. Wouldn't you be more comfortable elbow to elbow in you Airstream?
Alan - Sorry we couldn't make Russell. We just returned from our Bozeman trip yesterday. We were out 3 1/2 weeks and saw far more than just the International. Hope to camp with you soon.
Matt and Beth.

Glad you had a safe and succesful trip. We have relatives in Bozeman, but could not make it that far this year.
I added Falluminum to the Rally calendar so folks can check their attendance there.
Lets pump it up!! Would like to get more vintage owners and interested others....
Also any suggestions for additional happenings are welcome, and the Saturday brunch os a definite keeper.

To borrow something I saw on another site, a flea market might be a nice addition, or a morning yard sale type thing. Bring what you have to sell.

Yes we have tried this before, but seems not too many folks got involved. Maybe we can bring items to the brunch Saturday morning?
I brought some things last time, ended up leaving them for whoever could use em.

maybe we should list what we have available here first?
I've got some leftovers from my '64...
Water pump
Water filter
A few cabinet latches
Original propane tanks
I'm sure there's more on the shelf downstairs. Anyone need '64 parts? I don't take cash. I DO accept cases of Coors Light, though!

Ahhh, but I made out like a bandit at one of the forum rallies in GA. and bought an extra 30 lb. aluminum tank with new OPD valve installed for $75. You never know what you might find at a swap.

Hey Brad,
Great cabin you have there. Great location too.
We "found" FDR on our way home from my niece's graduation last year. Turned out to be a fun time for Tina and I. We would love a rally there - only 5 hours away and with todays gas (diesel) prices - that's an almost acceptable range for a quick get-a-way.
Hope to see you all soon - I'm at sea right now - planning our fall rally calendar right now.
Mike

The barter system is alive and well. Bring plenty of Wally World gift cards to this rally, and I'll trade them for gasoline.
