Best Route

Was kinda worried about hills and curvy road since we had never been here before.
After taking this route to Springstream, wanted to share with first timers.
Great roads and mostly 4-lane all the way.
Atlanta was the only obstacle...and we went thru there at 5am.
If this comes close to your path, get on one of these roads.

That is how we go, although we hit 575 further up from our home. The trip back on last Saturday was a breeze, no traffic and we made good time.

The first time we went to a Springstream, we took the road thru Helen. Very hilly and curvy. Then Ellen and Roy (Springstream 07) gave us their map showing the way on the map above-it is a great improvement.

Ok, TJ and I are in for sites F2 and F4. We decided to go inland because of the wind damage at Springstream. And on that note, the only damage was one bracket that broke on mine and 2 brackets on TJ's. The brackets cost $8 each. Talk about luck! Especially since my converter also went out and burned some wires with it. I haven't even asked the cost on that one yet! But should get the Airstream back by the end of the week. This is just in time to pack for our next trip to Raccoon Mtn for the bluegrass festival. I just love spring!

By the way, back in August, ventroloquist, comedian, singer, Terry Fator WON the TV show America's Got Talent competition. He will be performing at the Anderson Music Hall on June 7, 2008. I bought my tickets last weekend and will be camping on F-5 for Friday and Saturday nights. Come on and join me for camping that weekend too.

Just catching up with things, so we have switched to November, right? Not sure I'll be able to make that weekend, but I'll try to work something out.

Anne and I hated missing last weekend and last fall. So, we'll be planning to camp again this fall.

We're in B17. As of 10:30am 4/18, all the C waterfront sites are reserved, but most of the B waterfront sites are available.

anyone even thinking about going can reserve a site, and cancel later if not attending.

Never camped in Section C before.... I think it's got more trees than B. Did I miss anybody?

Well, we are still bummed from missing Springstream. We'll go ahead and sign up - whatever weekend - it's far enough off at this point. I'm packing the drums as we speak... tune up your instruments, start your engines.
