Would it be a problem to come for just one night, Saturday? We will be leaving Great Lakes that morning for our trek back West and would like to make this our first stop. We can bring a Southwestern 7 layer dip.

That would be Bill & Beth and thanks, looking forward to it as well. See you Saturday. Should be there fairly early as the distance isn't great. We've been at Great Lakes Naval Station and over the course of 3 weeks have had 7 Airstreams here at one time or another. Currently there are 3 of us.

Loaded Up and Ready to Go

Bill. Great Lakes is quite a place. At 92 my Father is a regular there. Hits up the PX for food, liquor and prescriptions every few weeks.

We’re loaded and ready to head out tomorrow morning to set up for the Rally. There’s food stuffed in every nook and cranny of the trailer.
No diets this weekend.

Looks like Wally had a talk with the Rally Gods.
“Could you please give these poor souls from the Midwest one last good weekend before winter?”
“OK. How about 80s during the day and 50s at night, with no rain.”
I don’t think we’ll have any complaints.

If anyone’s been following this thread and thinking about joining in just hitch up and come on out. Everyone’s welcome.

See everyone soon,
Tom

Talked to my Iowa sister of the traveling aluminum tonight, I think we have all bases covered, if we forget anything Topway in town seems to have everything one could need.

Coolers are loaded, refrigerator is packed or shall I say overpacked and the car has no room left except for our 2 bodies and 1 bird cage for Sammi.

Weather is looking fantastic for our weekend. Safe trip to all ,looking forward to seeing old friends as well as meeting some new. See everyone soon.

On the road in the AM, to meet up with new and old friends.
The TV &AS are packed; but wife doesn't know the difference between weight and volume. I'm afraid to get on the scale. Oh well; the weather for tomorrow is windy out of the south so the weight should help.
Safe travels everyone and will see you there.

The "Fall Fiesta" in Pecatonica is now over, and I think all had a good time. The planning is now underway for the spring outing. This time we are going to use the KISS principal. We had our Mexican meal, than combined the leftovers into the next meal and than combined those leftovers into the third meal. Those leftovers were than taken home by one of the campers for a forth meal. The moral , if you didn't have enough to eat,....... .
Margarita showed up so we had something to wash down all the food.
Ther were 10 units there with about 40 campers; and one from as far away as Oregon (Ag Sag). Bill, nice meeting you and Beth. Have a safe trip on your way home.
Stay tuned for a next campout, or should I say "eat out" in the spring.
