Can we have campfires?

Leslie,

Fantastic.....we have a new California Streamers Winter Rally organizer, otherwise known as "The Wagon Master". It was great of you to volunteer and take the heat and cold off of Goin and the pressure off of our overworked and overpaid greeter.

Vail was suggested earlier by str8strm, how is the weather in January? Since the great freeze of 2007 at 29 Plams, a few of the regulars are hoping for a bit warmer 2008 winter rally.

Milo~

Check out website, they do have group area and will give a discount. Don't remember the fire-ring question. Sites were large and not many people around in winter. Didn't eat at casino, but it is a nice one with some 1/2 decent entertainment. It was just the 2 of us, we didn't get into any trouble!

Time~

Just making suggestions, can't see myself as an official organizer/greeter! There are never any guarantees on weather (right Milo?), but we generally have milder winter temps down south.

We don't have to eat at the Casino...

we have our own potluck(s).

Free drinks while doing a little gaming wouldn't be so bad though...

It's true you can't control the weather...You just get blamed for it.

You know Leslie, I do see you as an organizer. We'll find someone else to do the greeting. Unfortunately for you when a volunteer was asked for we all took one step backwards.

If you stall long enough someone else may get stuck er I mean volunteer.

Sorrrryyyy, can't have that job, it has already been secured by the cowboy with a ten year no-cut contract.

Let's not call it organizer, let's call it just being there.

Lets see how many folks are interested in coming this far south. I forgot which weekend we were looking at.

Death

I can't go on the weekend you already selected, but Death Valley might be a good prospect and it may satisfy Milo's desert fixation

It's not a fixation. It's an addiction.

The spot out there is the Panamint Valley West of Death Valley. No people and regular BLM rules apply. I know of a great spot at an abondoned Onyx mine. Huge cement slab that hangs over the edge. Perfect for Campfires, Margi balls and it has a killer view.
