Boy, am I bummed out. It looks like the TCT campout starting tomorrow in Deming could be my last for the season. I may be able to get out for a bit the early part of September but will not know until almost that time. I can always camp out in my backyard if I have to.

Sorry you are not going to make it. I hope all goes well with your test. We were looking forward to meeting you and seeing another Flying Cloud.
Best of luck,

Sorry, we're going to miss you Barry!
We almost went to TCT inDeming ourselves this year (I've been trying to make it for years), but Alki's schedule got in the way this time. Maybe next year.
Take care, and we'll run into you yet, somewhere down the road!

Hi Pam,
Welcome aboard. This will be my first rally too. We're also in the "F" loop. Looking at the map of the campground, I think we'll be close to the action. See you at the rally!

Rally
I'll be there for my first rally with my two boys (Ages 2 and 4). I'm in campsite F17. Unfortunately, I can only come for Friday night and Saturday morning/ealy afternoon. Looking forward to it. I'm planning to bring some brats and hot dogs.

What a great to bring kites to the Beach. I forget how windy it can be on the Oregon coast. Off to the store to get one.

This will be our first Rally as well...I just signed us up for space H22. This forum has helped us through the hunt and gather process and now we can't wait to hit the road. Looking forward to putting faces to names!
Looks like there is lots of food on the list...anything looking lacking? We'll bring whatever is needed for Friday night and Sunday and of course lasagne for Saturday night. (Roasted red pepper for vegetarians, which Brian is not

There is a great kite store in Newport, they have some very neat high end kites
For those of you who have seen the flag on our Minuet, this is where we bought it

55 and still alive
OK, Boys and Girls we are now at 55 trailers.
Some activities on tap Don is judging a Name tag / sign contest.
I'm thinking 2air was talking about a mass kite flying on the beach, I'm planning on it. You got to see his collection of kites quite impressive.

Name tag contest
As Official name tag judge, I thought I should list the rules. After all we don't want to be Judged as, as let me think, ah, ah , What was I thinking.
1. Name tags can be worn at anytime under any conditions. Or you may choose to leave them hidden in the secret compartment of your trailer.
2. Some may choose to have a hide-the-tag contest spin off, In this case I will not be judging the contest because I wish to remain married.
3. Size is limited to ones imagination. You may use any standard name tag size or shape, Also trailing, flying, body art, etc. "Remember children are present". If you have had some type of surgery and are filled with metal parts, you may choose to use the magnetic refrigerator type material. Attaching with sharp objects are only recommended if you are waring garments.
4. Persons who choose to wander around for a while to see who attends these groups before wearing their name tag will not be penalized.
5. You may choose to have a flip type name tag, Computerized, electric activated, lighted, engraved, catchup or mustard designed on napkins. etc.
6. Remember creative is the "TAG".
7. Also if your tag is made of some hard material like plastic, metal, or glass . The Judge will not take any responsibility for injuries occurring at night.
Besides International recognition. A reward of $5 dollars will be given to someone.
These rules can not be altered except by someone who chooses to change or amend the rules. Free will is the only governing principle affecting changes.
All rule changes will be reviewed by the members of this rally forum or any other part of the Knowledge forums. All Official discussions pertaining to this or any worldwide contest that is affected by these rule changes shall be determined to be in part or whole the sole property of this discussion. Please review these rules and make sure that you refer to the above at all times.
I have read and accepted the rules and guideline listed above.
I have read and accept the above.
I do not accept the above.
If you have any questions please refer all input to " NorCal Bambi".
The content and nature of the above refers to no one living or dead.
No animals were injured in the production of this notice.

First Time Rally Go'ers
Hi All,
This will be our very first Airstream Rally. It will actually be our first trip in the ole boy! You will be the first one's to see "Sterling" in public!
We have owned him for 4 years and have spent the past 4 summers totally restoring him. Stepping in to Sterling is like stepping back to 1966! All of our friends were wondering why it was taking us so long. We tried to be as faithful to the original as possible. We hunted and hunted for parts that needed replacing. All of the appliances were cleaned, repaired and rebuilt and are all working! All the interior wood was removed, sanded, restained and has 6 coats of hand applied poly. All metal, including every screw was cleaned on a polishing wheel and reinstalled. The floor was replaced (shell on) with marine grade plywood and 2 coats of epoxy to keep it from rotting ever again. I could go on and on and I am sure I will when you come to visit us in C12. At this time, it still needs more work, but I hope to have it mostly done by the rally.
I have attached a few pics to wet your appetite to visit us. We really look foward to any advice and tips to finish him up.
(take note ot the name plates. They are original and painstakingly hand painted by Colleen).
Till we meet some new friends in Beverly Beach, enjoy what is left of summer!
Colleen and Jerry

Holy cow! I'm glad my Caravel is going to be parked far away from yours - it can't live up to the competition

Colleen & Jerry, Beautiful job, Airstreams become labors of love and we can tell yours is loved. Can't wait to see it.
Don, I accept the name tag rules, sounds like fun and if it's anything like the foil hat contest should be out of this world.

OK Don - but what about content?
Can I make a tag that says "NorCalBambi in 2008" and expect to curry judges favors? Is bribery allowed/encouraged?
This is important! I need 5 bucks - I may have to make good on a merlot bet....
