OK! JUST FOR THE RECORD... I like Nina Simone, Gary Allan, Linda Eder, Evanescence, and the Mama's and the Pappas...

BUT NOT BRITNEY.... ( just don't tell her that until AFTER the rally)

Just thought that I'd share what I belive to be a satellite view of the Moraine View Campground and surrounding areas:

http://terraserver.microsoft.com/ima...tate+Park%7cIL

The reserved sites you all have on on the top row!

Enjoy.

How do you feel about the possessed chick in Britney's skirt? I vote we get her to come!

Perhaps we can get some old clothes from Nina Simone, Gary Allan, Linda Eder, Evanescence, the Mamas and the Pappas, and Sean Cassidy (gotta throw one of my own in there). She can entertain us all night!

Glad you like it, the problem isn't the mileage, it's all the stuff going on a week later that has us all pretty busy...in a good way.

Yep the uppermost sites in that top loop are the P sites, across the street is the A sites. They assign from the middle and then fill to the left. Once they get that full they move to the right and start bending around. Last year the second street below the top also had forum members.

illegal smuggling

What would happen to me if I ACCIDENTALLY forgot to remove the Flamingo Juice from my refrigerator before travelling to Moraine for this rally?

Would anyone help me dispose of it?

Will the little old guy on the scooter (camp host) notice??

Hmm....me thinks you will need to meet the Fed requirements for ID on your trailer. Here are the signs you will need to attach.

Jack

I'm afraid that the green hazard sign is incorrect.

We're flammable :-)

Hmmm....83 days. Once those warm winds begin to flow, folks will start reserving spots at Moraine. Will it be a forum member or an SOB getting your spot?

Looks like we are due to hit 70 degrees next Tuesday in STL. I bring the Classic home next week to dewinterize and prepare for an early unit rally. And before you know it June will be here.

So while I've caught your eye, and maybe if you have some extra time home for the Easter weekend, mosey on over to post 39 in this thread and click on the links to reserve your place for our third annual rally.

Let us know once you get your reservation confirmed.

Regards,

Jack

we're moving!

We did it......we found a new home in beautiful Wilmington Illinois. There goes the neighborhood!

Moving date is May 15th.

My only moving experiences were college pad to college pad and moving from a rental to our first home. In those cases we hadn't acquired many treasures and it was pretty simple. But now we're in a packed 3 bedroom home and moving into a"fixer upper" (every room must be painted and carpets removed) with our 1 & 5 year old side kicks. Does anyone with experience in moving think there's any chance we can swing the rally?

We have a campground in town - looks like an old KOA in the middle of a cornfield. (lightbulb flash in brain) Hey! It would be a perfect rally site.....for May 15.......just stop by our old place, filll up your camper with boxes and head on down!

Of course you can still swing the rally. Just because you move the boxes, doesn't mean they have to be unpacked right then, right there. There's always time to unpack later...some of those boxes may stay packed for years...

Yup! You can do it, but I'd start getting things in order now (boxes, etc). Even start packing some of the stuff that you know is seasonal and won't need before June.

We are doing this with my parents as I type this...they just sold the home they built and we grew up in and owned for over 30 years. They are now empty nesters.... their solution to some things was to donate to the church to get some of the unwanted furnishings out and clothes they had pack ratted since the 70s (even though they are back in style again).

The rest is either being taken by us kids, packed in to boxes or put out for the garbage pickers and finally into the earth to push up weeds.

BTW, they have 5 bedrooms full of stuff, not to mention a full basement among the rest of the stuff in the house...... have fun!
