If anyone is reading this and hasn't signed up yet, I'd suggest you do!
My family and I showed up last year....and the people were GREAT! Sure, our trailer didn't make it....and we're now 1000 miles away, but we'd be there if we could!!

Funchucky is RIGHT
We came without a trailer, too, and it WAS fun!
This year, we SHOULD have a trailer!

I have to echo funchucky1's statment that if you are reading this and haven't signed up yet do it.
Last year was our first time and it was a great. Been trying to find a way to go this year but can't swing it.
Seeing all the different rigs and the great people kept me reved up all winter finishing the inside restoration.
Go if you can. Hope to check in next year.
Tom.

Folks we are down to 29 days so its time to make up your mind. The good side is the park has lots of room so it's not too late. Quite honestly I would bet you can get a site up to the day you leave. But we have a few other things like give aways and other surprises that make me have to settle on a count.
So.....if you can't commit until the end, come see us anyway, there should be room for you. If you can get your reservation in during the next 7 days or so please do, and then let me know. If you don't want me to publicly post your name, send me a PM and I will mark you as an unknown camper along with your site number.
It will be here before you think, and next week we will start the post sregarding the Saturday night Pot Luck meal.
Regards,
Jack

No, no for real doubt: Luna is in GREAT shape.
But I am stressed OUT, and am just taking one thing at a time.
Murphy's Law loves us TOO well.
For instance, as I write, I am at a Ramada Inn in Rochester NY seeing our son graduate.

Congrats out to Rachelle's son on graduating!
I, too, am the proud mom of a graduate. Next week Will graduates from pre-school for the third time! (te he). Hopefully this trend will continue - but in higher grades.
Moving update: My back aches, my feet hurt, and 3 semi loads of precious cargo and priceless antiques (in other words - crap), we are on the verge of being moved out and overwhelmed with a house full of boxes to be unpacked. But first things first: the cat room. Can anyone offer any advice on how to remove powerful cat smells? My attempt has been to strip the room down to it's concrete floor and then scrub floor and wall with bleach and pinesol, air it out, repeat, repeat, repeat. So far I think all I've accomplished is masking the odor. But I'm not giving up! There has to be a way........
I really need a rally - and fast!

Well fast it shall be. We are getting into gear at this end and are nailing down some final items in planning. I'm trying to make sure we are a go for movies on Friday night. We have confirmed a give away, and I'm working on some others. Saturday will be our trailer/motorhome tours for those who want to participate. Saturday evening will be our infamous Pot Luck meal, and after that dinner, the evening campfire. Sunday will be another day for tours for those wanting to participate.
Keep in mind that if you have some Airstream or related towing items for sale, bring them with you and put them out at your site on Saturday during the tour hours (which will be determined soon).
Those of you who have questions, seek answers. There will be lots of folks there with new and vintage units both Airstream and Argosy's. So if you wonder how somebody else does it, this is the place to ask. If you are thinking of buying a new one, somebody probably owns it and will be bringing that model.
Unfortunately Roger will not be here this year so he will be unable to use his trailer as the local dog kennel. Silvertwinkie should make it with his 25' Safari, equipped with a 15,000 BTU Penquin air conditioner turned up on high.
From what I remember last year Twink's Airstream was the only one that could condense moisture on the outside skin during daylight hours. For those of you hunting, Eric has volunteered to provide "cold storage" locker facilitities, just in case you hit that 18 point buck on the way into the park.
Spa services will be provided again this year by Cottage, whose vintage Airstream is the only one there with a whirlpool bath.
We also will be looking out to see who will win the honor of squeezing the most kids and/or biggest dogs into the smallest trailer. As I remember in past years we had winners in each catagory. We might open up a catagory for the biggest unit with the fewest people also! I'm sure a few of us might fit that catagory.
Still lots of space so get those reservations in!
Regards,
Jack

count down
We're home after three days of fun in Rochester.. it's VERY pretty there, everything went great, our son DID THE WALK across the stage, and now has a M.S. behind his name; and I want to go to Moraine!
Do we at least have a food theme? Let the discussion and ideas begin!

The excitement is building! Jack, do you remember our coach count from last year? We're all going to need CB's like the Wallys to keep track of events and happenings pretty soon-totally handy and most necessary. "Attention all campers. Due to overwhelming request, the Toga Party has been expanded to include not only Friday evening but also all day Saturday. The local dairy will be on alert should extra quantities of chocolate milk need to be delivered to the grounds."
See you all soon,
Sue
