I do not think there is a way to check titles through WBCCI records. You might try the DMV's in the various states.

can someone give me history of 4485.
it was my grandfather's on a 60 overlander and then my fathers on 75 sovereign.
I know it was then reissued... is it still active?

The Boyds are listed for caravans 34 and 39 in the 1966 Directory (not 24 and 39). #8485 was not first assigned until 1963, well after Caravan 24 occurred. Caravan 34 was Western Canada - Summer 1963.

The Boyds did not own the trailer he was interested in anyway, so it does not matter. The number was reassigned to the Ashtons and that is the trailer he is rehabbing.

Yeah, I know, but the information posted here will likely out live us. I just try to keep the posted material about old Airstreams as accurate as possible in case it is ever found by anyone else in the future.

In the 1997 directory, 4485 was assigned to the Richard and Francis Frazer from Carmel, CA. I did not see a listing for 4485 in mt 2010 directory.

4166 is listed in the 1964 directory as belonging to Yockers, but are not in the alphabetical index. Some people chose to not be listed. In 1989, 4166 was assigned to Turnbough from Clovis, NM. No bets on them owning your trailer.

Thanks very much for that info.... I was hoping it was free. I was "24601" on Broadway ("Les Miserables") Would have loved to display it on my '72 Trade Wind 25'. Oh well.... win some, lose some

Hi I posted on another thread yesterday, and somebody suggested I also put my question here.
I'm trying to find out some of the history of our 22ft Safari (1960), I can make out ghosting where the WCCI number was (3015) and something about a couple of caravans in 1960 (Mexico and Colorado Springs). I put some not very easy to read photos on our blog POLISHED STUDIO
I'd love to know a bit more about who else has owned her and where she has been, can anyone help?

Wondering about #492
Last year we bought a '67 Safari that hadn't been used in some time. It has the number 492 on it. From a quick read of this thread, it must have been owned by a club officer at one point. I'm wondering where it's been.

492 in 1969 was listed to Robert and Martha Tomissser, but not listed as being an officer. They may have been just early joiners.
